new terminology + more shoulder chips = bowl game

I bet that was an AWESOME!!!!11! BBQ!!! coaches meeting:

RR: We need to rename some things to disassociate ourselves with all this failure.

Staff: good call coach..lets start with the D...that was a mess.

RR: Agreed. Lets call the formation the Mountaineer.

Staff: Dude...we've been through this...you are at Michigan.

RR: Damn it...(inaudible except for the occasional [censored] bomb)

Staff: Coach....we were naming the D.

RR: Oh yeah. Lets go with the spread. I invented it. Or the WVU RULES package.

Staff: ......

RR: Hey...why are people boxing up some of my stuff...HEY...DON'T TOUCH MY BIG EAST TITLE TROPHEY! PUT THAT PICTURE OF WVU's STADIUM BACK ON THE WALL...DON'T BE TOUCHING GOD'S GIFT TO COLLEGE FOOTBALL....WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING HERE?

Staff: SO we were thinking we might come up with our own defensive plan....one that is built around these little guys you have been bringing in. We think since they are so small we might actually line up like 13 or 14 players. I don't think anyone would notice....

RR: Who is that guy in there measuring my office? Is that Jim Harbaugh? HEY...JIM..

JH: Uh...hey coach. I was told you wouldn't be here any more. Just forget you saw me. I'll come back right after the NCAA publishes their official report.

Staff: .....

JH: ....

RR: Can we wrap this up...I've got to meet with a developer about investing in his plan to put in some condos.

Staff: So you are good with us putting together a new defensive game plan?

RR: Defense? Yeah...whatever. D isn't important...do what ever you guys want. Just make sure it has a cool name...like Morgantown Flex or Mountain Spread. Anything else?

Staff: don't forget now that spring camp is done you scheduled 4 a days for the next two weeks...so keep your schedule clear...we have 16 hours of practice.

(RR shuffles out)

JH: I can't believe I lost the job to THAT guy.

Staff: SO now that Rich is off to sign real estate papers.... hey boss.....let's talk defense...

JH: well..we are small...lets try and compensate with speed...let's take a look at.......

(staff stares into JH's eyes and hang on his every word with longing)

Tater Tot is not going to be happy with 3rd string.

He won't be third string. The question is "Which Division I-AA school will Tater Tot attend?"

The followup question to that is "Will Tater Tot even be able to start at that school, or will he end up 2nd string there?"

And, the third question is "How will his dad write this up on the family website?"

Remember the family history. Don't fight adversity--leave. After all--When Defenses are "raising hell" and emotions are sky high, We salute those who leave...and those not willing to try.

Michigan QB Tate Forcier sprains ankle

Michigan sophomore quarterback Tate Forcier suffered a slightly sprained ankle during practice Tuesday afternoon, a source close to the program said on Wednesday.
The Michigan Daily is reporting today in its online edition that Forcier had a black boot around his foot and ankle and was using crutches to walk to class this morning.
Forcier is expected to practice Thursday, according to the source.

Forcier started last season as a freshman for the Wolverines and is competing for the starting job this fall with sophomore Denard Robinson and freshman Devin Gardner. Forcier was practicing on Tuesday during the brief session media were allowed to attend. He sprained the ankle later in practice.

Report: Michigan QB Tate Forcier on crutches

Michigan quarterback Tate Forcier was seen on campus today with a boot on his foot and ankle and using crutches, according a Michigan Daily report this afternoon.

Forcier, who started every game last year as a true freshman, is competing for the starting job this spring with fellow sophomore Denard Robinson and true freshman Devin Gardner.

During the 15-minute practice period open to the media Tuesday, Forcier appeared fine and was participating in all the drills.

Michigan sports information officials do not discuss injuries. Coach Rich Rodriguez's next media availability will be at the spring game Saturday.

Most of Rodriguez’s comments this spring about Forcier have been about improvement off the field, which he repeated Tuesday.

“We expect him to grow not only athletically but, certainly, academically and socially as well during (his) time here,” Rodriguez said. “It takes some guys longer to do that than others. We’ve had a lot of talks with Tate about the expectations of what we have for him and the same that his family has for him and, I’m sure, he has for himself. It’s sometimes a painful process for young people to go through and a painful process for coaches because you want it all right now, same as a parent would. You get disappointed sometimes as parents do when your children do not do all the things that you want them to do.

"I’ve got a lot of good young men on our team and, sometimes, they make mistakes. It doesn’t mean we don’t love them, but there is some tough love involved, and we’re hoping to get them where they can reach all their goals.”

yeah, they're not really running a 3-3-5, just the same thing as last year with different terminology

At any rate....

3-3-5=

5-7

3-3-5 = number of wins M*ch*g*n will have to vacate from the RichRod era.

Wait wait wait. I think we've all been missing something here. RichRod is way ahead of the curve.

He's innovating a new defense....

3-3-5 will be known as the "spread defense".

:slappy:

:p
