2010 TSUN offseason arguments & shenanigans

CBS - 60 yd Devin TD run

I expect Devin to be a good player for them, especially if he can actually introduce a downfield passing game to RR's offense, but:

a) That looks like the same old defense, out of position, poor pursuit angles, very weak foot speed... unable to track down an athletic but not overly speedy Devin.

b) It was a unit of backups however.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2tpF2Xo1tI

This is evidence that he's as good a rushing QB as David Cone. [sarcasm]Color me impressed.[/sarcasm]

Bad camera angle, but it looked like a simple direct snap inside zone play to the quarterback. 2nd string D should have no problem limiting that to a non-60 yard touchdown.

After watching a few clips of practice and reading some of what the "experts" are saying about the team, I have come to my conclusion of the state of M*ch*g*n Football for the upcoming season:

They still suck ass.

That is all.

...he's serious. Probably because their programs are geared to be MORE football player friendly than at Michigan, if ya know what I mean.

says the team trying to get this guy through admissions

You need to keep in mind that negative recruiting against UM includes providing the recruit with unedited UM game tapes.

That would explain a lot. :slappy:

Let's not forget that TSUN has TRADITION!

You get to play in front of Ohio State fans in your own stadium...what's not to love?

And you get to watch your coach make funny faces...

...and then make this face every game.

i love when those retards whine about "negative recruiting". they act like this is some new concept to the college football world and it's only done against Michigan. and of course, Michigan would never partake in anything so awful.
No, no, no. Thomas Beaver says so. That's all I need.

Just think back to the early bravado when they landed this coach. He was going to recruit top quarterbacks and put his whiz-bang, unbeatable spread offense in. Tressel would be smashed and disgraced as TSUN scored again and again against a hapless Buckeye defense. So what if the way he left WVa was a bit slimy? Teams deserve what they get.

Exactly.

Pardon me if it's already been discussed--

Big Ten Tonight reported that the scUMweasels will be using the 3-3-5 as their base defense this fall.

...really? Do their coaches want to be unemployed 8 months from now? Are they aware that they're in the Big TEN, and not the big EAST? We have linemen who average over 300lb blocking for 220 lb running backs, frequently with a 250lb lead blocking fullback.

...and you're in a 3-3-5.

Good Grief.

They already ran a variation of it last year. Worked out great! :banger:

yeah, they're not really running a 3-3-5, just the same thing as last year with different terminology

like you said, it worked great last year, so everybody freaking out is just a dick rod hater and not all in

Changing the terminology will surely help. Clearly the verbiage was the issue.
