Not sure if it was mentioned yet but it was just being reported Demar Dorsey did not get cleared for Michigan and will likely be headed to Fort Scott community college out in Kansas. Huge hit.
Nope, it was discussed in the shenanigans thread but not here. The talk on UM boards (coming from the top) is that Demar was held out because of admissions folk who do not like RR.

If they held him out now, there's very little chance he gets in next year. Jucos usually can't get into Michigan due to credit transfers. Austin Panter was a rare exception, but he was academically qualified out of HS, he just wasn't pursued for his athleticism so he went to junior college.

If he is qualified and being screwed over, then one would think he would ask for a release from his LOI and go play somewhere else in D1, not juco ball.

If he merely heads to a Juco, then I think the conspiracy angle is very premature and another deflection for RR supporters.

I really need to break down and watch that youtube video at some point. The number of times it has been quoted must mean it is epic.

Don't do it. I finally did and immediately wished I hadn't.

I love a good conspiracy theory.......the Admins held him out to sabotage RR, had nothing to with the fact he's as smart as a box of rocks.

I have it on good authority that most of the teams in the Big Ten - and at least one from the MAC - are involved in the conspiracy to see RR fail.

Under Armour All-American Demar Dorsey's status at Michigan is still up in the air. - ESPN

Dorsey is qualified by Ncaa Standards... he has not been cleared by Michigan's admission department. The issue here is the athletic department believes that since RR has taken over there has been an abundance of boardline kids that have made it into Michigan that probably should not have (ie Turner and Gallon) thus the AD has sent a message to the admission office to up the standards. There was talk that up to 4 kids would not make it into this class, but as it stands now only Dorsey and Kinnard will not make it in. My take on this is that there is more to this story that we fans do not know about , but regardless losing Dorsey is a huge blow because he easily has the highest potential out of any defensive prospect we brought in this year. David Brandon has made it clear since he got here that he wants are 2 big sports programs to win big now and to win the right way.

Huh. Never would have seen that coming, RR being a Michigan Man and all.

What is sad is that 75% of the Michigan fans that post on rivals and scout actually believe Rich has done little to nothing wrong during his tenure and that everybody is out to get him. Which brings me to the Ncaa Investigation, People don't want to talk about the fact that there were quality control guys coaching during spring practice and the fact that there is a horn-blower that breaks practices down to the minute that the coaches completely ignored. Fact is if i am not mistaken this is HIS program everything that happens whether good or bad falls on his head. Let Rich succeed or fail on his own merit, the excuse making for Rich is beyond comprehension at least to me...sorry for the rant guys.

I think there's some truth to people behind the scenes being out to get him, but I also think he effed up a ton himself too.

Win and it all goes away. That's the long and the short of it. If he can't win, we'll get someone else in there that can and start over. Luckily it's just a game.
