2010 TSUN News (in-season)

he had one foot out the door because your hilljack coach's offense doesn't fit his skills. if RR would have moved to a passing spread and actually tried to keep the kid, who knows what would have happened?

nobody, because he didn't exactly try to keep him. which, in hindsight, was a great move. the kid obviously sucks as a QB and wouldn't have helped Michigan at all. Mallett, Threet, Sheridan.....what's the difference?

never said he sucked. I love watching RM down at Arky and i'm glad he's having a great career.

I'm also not getting sucked into this argument again because Mallett has already said he didn't want to be part of a spread offense so trying to convince him would not have mattered. I'll take his word over yours in the matter.

I'm arguing that RR didn't come in and push him out the door. People act like RR didn't try and get him to stay on. That's the misconception. three years later it doesn't really matter. Like AKA said, QB isn't our problem right now.

It'll sting more though depending on what Mallett can do in the Sugar Bowl......

Doesn't that mean he was told that RR was not going to change the offense he runs to fit the players currently on the team at that time. A good coach would adapt his scheme to fit the players he has, while at the same time try to recruit players that can run your primary scheme down the line. RR is a one trick pony, the rest of the Big Ten coaches know what they need to prepare for every week.

Zettel to Penn St... let the blaming of David Brandon begin. This is going to be hilarious

Unreal. Michigan really needed Zettel. Old Michigan would have probably locked this kid up in the spring. I wish Zettel the best because he is going to be a good one, hard worker, and a good student for Penn St. This was one of the recruits Michigan had to get.

I'll come back to this after all the bowl games are done. That way I can know if i'm defending our "current" coach or our "former" coach

but i'll say this real quick. Look at the difference in offense when Denard is in and when Tate is in. Denard is run heavy, Tate is pass heavy. That's adaption to each QB's strengths in my IMO

He didn't. If he had, then he'd have to actually change his system. We both know he doesn't have the mental capacity to do that.

Kids get homesick and want to transfer out of schools all the time. Awfully convenient for the Michigan fanbase that this particular kid couldn't have been talked out of it no matter what RR had said.
