2010 TSUN News (in-season)

Great, another undersized corner. Still a major need at safety and defensive tackle, but at least they're all stocked up on tiny cornerbacks. :slappy:

How is a 5'11, 180 pound corner under-sized? Are you kidding me with that BS right now? Countess has perfect size for a CB.

I don't get it, you guys slam us for not getting 4*+/Army-All American type recruits on defense, and when we get one - one who by the way is 5'11, 180, which is HARDLY under-sized for a high school CB recruit - he's now under-sized and not any good? I see how it works here. Got it.

As far as safeties go, well we have two CB commits that could very easily wind up at safety instead of CB in Dallas Crawford (who actually plays safety in high school and is pretty good at that) or Greg Brown, and we're still very much in it (top 3) with 4*/Army All-American Safety Wayne Lyons and Rodriguez is making his in-home with him tomorrow.

Defensive tackles, they keep recruiting them but have been shut out. Jernigan the kid from Florida dropped them recently, Cooper the kid from Maryland dropped them, Trudo the kid from Pennsylvania dropped them recently.

We need defensive tackles, but they are on short supply in this class and I think even if we went to Jim Harbaugh that our recruiting could get a small boost in the arm but we would still have an incredibly difficult time landing DT's right now.

He's listed at 5'10/175...that's a little small. And yes, you do see how it works here...this is a fucking Buckeye site, we clown everything you guys do. Given how much we've been correct about everything that's gone wrong since Gomer's hire, we've earned that right. You don't like it, go back to gbw and rejoin the beaver circlejerk.

MGoBlog called Countess a "little guy", a "smaller guy", a "shorter guy", and a "good-not-great prospect" with "diminutive size". Are you going to go over there and bitch as well, or are you going to save the righteous indignation for us?

I don't disagree with much of the post butis not a safety, other than the new definition brought to UM by RR's 3-3-5 where 5'9 180 lbs is used as a box safety.

is that how big Greg really is?

I heard that he had grown a little bit and is close to 200 pounds right now and that he might actually have out-grown corner.

Looks like he might need a bit of dental work though:

Crawford is thinking of looking around.

Not landing any defensive lineman is scary for the future. A good line can make a weak secondary look good at times. You always start up front.

Look at the 2009 class for defensive recruits Michigan landed.

Isiah Bell- Haven't really seen what he can do.
William Campbell- Switched to the OL.
Vladimir Emilien- Transferred.
Cameron Gordon- Physical guy, but seemed lost last year as a freshman
Thomas Gordon- Played the Spur.
Brandon Hawthorne- Special Teamer.
Mike Jones- Early Season injury that put him out for the year.
Anthony Lalota- transferred.
Craig Roh- Hybrid De/LB.
Justin Turner- Transferred.
Adrian Witty- Never made it.

yes, that is how our 2009 class will look going into the 2011 season. No defensive tackles. Roh is the only one that plays on the line. 11 defensive guys and 4 are no longer with the team. These guys will be juniors or red shirt sophomores.

2008 class- 33% of the entire class is no longer with the team. Our Senior and red shirt junior class. Mike Martin was the only DT/DE landed.

2008 /2009 classes regarding our defensive line..........Roh and Martin.

Michigan hasn't landed a DT yet for the 2011 class.

Seriously think about what I typed. It is a very scary concept. Should be no [censored]ing excuse. But hey some fellow Michigan fans are happy with 6/7 win seasons and the Anna Kournikova offense. The offense looks good and is fun to watch at times, but it never wins. It would be cool to have 10 win seasons, compete for big ten championships again, and go to BCS bowls....guess that isn't fun anymore.

Talk about "come to Jesus". Well said and deserving of a GPA.

It may be pushing the limits to take shots directly at photos of kids - even UM recruits. But you have to ask who made the decision to use that shot on somebody's profile page.
