Well 20 years ago puts us into the Cooper era and I agree, it feels nothing like that now. And I am damn happy it feels nothing like that now!!

If we go back 35 years ago, then I know the feeling you are talking about on game day of The Game. Outcome could go either way....it was going to be a battle to the end....hardest hitting yet cleanest game of the year. Yeah I remember that.

I also really like the feeling of the past couple of years as well!

Thank you. That's what I was getting at. Even in the 80's during the 9-3 years and after the games were brutal and were still generally all out wars.

Interesting tidbit for all that think Harbaugh is in the bag if rr was to be fired. There's somebody else who is popping up prominently in hypotheticals. Not gonna give away premium info, but lets just say it's a guy whose name was bandied about in 2007 much to the horror of 98% of scUM fans...and he's the owner of a 46-50 career record. If this happened, I'd wet myself in glee...
