2010 TSUN News (in-season)

The talent was there.....it's just this talent wasn't designed to compete against the size of Big10 players. Had Michigan been in the Big East, you would be seeing an undefeated season more than likely.

Really?

Undefeated? Defense wins championships and their defense was the epitome of suck. Tsun's defense ranked poorly even before the B10 part of their schedule began.

It is certainly possible that coaching philosophy negatively influenced the type of player recruited. But let's not make excuses. Poor tackling, taking bad angles, and missing assignments has nothing to do with the size of the player.

One thing we can agree on is that the Big East is so pathetic that any team from the B10 (even tsun) would have a better record playing in the Big East. So what.

I don't understand, Tate takes care of the ball and has "big hands to manipulate the ball even off balance or falling down."

defense may win championships (or it may not.....that's just a cliche), but mediocrity wins the Big East. I don't know about undefeated, but looking at the teams they beat vs the teams that beat them....who in the Big East fills the spots of OSU, Wisconsin, Iowa, MSU, and Penn St?

The talent is seriously lacking on defense. They may have one of the least talented defenses in the B10. DickRod, even with decent defenses from 05-07 in a weak big east still managed to lose a game or two.

Which, if he is soon fired, will be my single biggest regret of the RR era.

We will never get to see scUM fans suffer through 4-5 years of mediocrity, finally have a good team that plays a meaningful late season game, feel the euphoria of a return to glory only to have it all crushed when they find out on top of everything else, RR is a big game choke artist.

I don't know about the rest of you but I will feel cheated if we don't get to taste those bitter tears.

Prize recruit Dee Hart could be going buh-bye tomorrow...

http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=162&f=2019&t=6819396

This guy has been backed up by people with bonafides. Big hit because Hart is potentially the big time back they currently lack to pair w/ hairlice. Should be cause for an epic meltdown...

It shouldn't be a meltdown. Michigan just signed Justice Hayes. I would like to have Hart in this class but it won't be a big hit as many people think it will be. Now if Hart was the #1 DT in the country, a stud linebacker, or a fg kicker that could actually make a few......then that would upset me.

It will be because he was hailed as the only thing missing from making this offense as unstoppable as some claim it to be (unless the O stops, that is). He was built up into a Marcus Lattimore type of impact on a squad.

The biggest meltdown is because Dee was upset that UM took hayes.

Meltdown should come if Rich Rod is retained.

Justice Hayes isn't in Hart's league potential-wise...
