Who is more exciting to watch...Michael Vick or Denard Robinson?

I especially liked this gem (what a way to end the story):CalvinistBuck;1777116; said:I watched some of the tsun/Umass game last night and was surprised how soft the Wolverine defense was against the run.
Then I came across this article that addresses the issue.
http://www.annarbor.com/sports/um-f...ms-defense-has-regressed-since-season-opener/
The title says it all:
Michigan football team's defense has regressed since season opener
"There's some bright spots, but we do have a ways to go as a defense and as a team," safety Cam Gordon said. "Really, you don't want to be, I guess, too good the first game, and then peter out."
Every possible excuse/rationalization has been floated.BuckTwenty;1777483; said:I especially liked this gem (what a way to end the story):
Don't be "too good" right out of the gate... just be bad enough.
Genius.
I thought last year the other guy that sucked ass was gonna win the Heisman and lead scUM to a bowl game. This is a whole new and different ass-sucking, Heisman-winning, bowl game-going quarterback. Looks like the same sorry ending to this storyline though.k2onprimetime;1777494; said:I cant stand all this Denard Robinson crap anymore! I had to turn off sports nation today, they already think he is gonna win the heisman and lead scum to a bowl game. Last year he sucked ass, I cant wait until they play a team with a good defense.
k2onprimetime;1777494; said:I cant stand all this Denard Robinson crap anymore! Who has he played? Every team tSUN has played has a shitty defense. I had to turn off sports nation today, they already think he is gonna win the heisman and lead scum to a bowl game. Last year he sucked ass, I cant wait until they play a team with a good defense.
The Big Ten defenses are light years ahead of what he's played thus far. I still think he'll play well (if he can stay in one piece), but he's not going to put up those ridiculous numbers every week. Especially when they start having to play from behind...cincibuck;1777579; said:Hate Dennard all you want, but who else on their schedule is going to stop him?
If you watched Iowa, Penn State, Michigan State and Wisconsin these first three weeks you saw teams with problems on offense or defense or both. I thought three of those teams would be better, much better, than what I saw.
Penn State is clearly rebuilding, but all four could be had by a QB like Robinson and the receivers Michigan has. I don't think they run into a defense that can afford to put a spy on Dennard until they meet the Buckeyes.

I wouldn't have wasted my time with 800 posts if that was going to be my big "ha ha i'm really an asshole" post.
you guys must have all been sitting around just waiting for me to say something outlandish so you could unleash your dogs of war. Hope you enjoyed it .
WolverineMike;1775839; said:yeah, Marshall and Ohio U are awesome on defense. Racking the yardage up on them is definitely impressive........LOL
Jaxbuck;1775797; said:What I find odd (well not really... they are, after all, fucking morons) is the Z!!OMG!! our offense is so butch!! talk. Lets never punt because of the awsomeness of Denard.
Go look at the stats, scUM's offense has barely put up any more yards or points than OSU's has and when you consider the difference in strength of schedule, well that's probably too much reality in one bite.
I still say look for the repeat of 2009. The O comes back down to earth when they face teams that play a shred of defense, the D continues to get worked hard with a dirty plunger.
Or maybe, ya know, he got hurt. I find it a little far fetched to think he'd fake an injury when there's only three qbs on the roster and your offense tends to grind them down. Not to mention I'm sure there's some documentation required for a medical RS...DA-Bucks;1777646; said:So I read on the UM Rivals board that Devin Gardner is out for the season and taking a medical redshirt for an ACL injury. This was supposedly from a RR radio interview.
Genius move by RR, try to see if he's ready by putting him on the field early, then when you find out that DR is the real deal, have him fake an injury and save his eligibility. That will ease Tate's transfer predicament and keep the depth chart filled.
If there is a V-Bet on Devin either not wearing a leg brace or him having a miraculous recovery if he becomes suddenly needed, then I'm ALL-IN.
If he's actually injured from practice then I'm sorry that RR has made me this jaded by being a sneaky shit snake oil dealing coach.
