2010 TSUN News (in-season)

Well not a good game. However, 3-0 and all Michigan needs is 3 more wins to become bowl eligible. That's all that matters for this year.

This defense might be the worst of all time in this program. Actually the past 3 years have been very horrible. Then again when you have players that transfer at a rapid rate from the defense, players moving from offense to defense, projects on the defense, lack of recruiting, players that start who weren't highly recruited from high school, taking bad angles, a lot of missed tackles, and doesn't seem to improve.....what else do you expect?

3 more wins. I just hope we get them somewhere.

Well whose fault is that?

RR.

Sure Lloyd Carr underachieved toward the end of his career, but I never thought Michigan would ever be this bad on defense. RR has built a good offense and the offense seems to be clicking this year so far. It is fun to watch. The defense is just horrible. Denard could score 5 tds and get 400 yards of total offense in a game in the big ten but it won't matter if Michigan gives up 50 points a game. I'm not shocked though because I knew the defense wasn't very good. I said we would go 6-6,7-5 this year. Actually most fans said the same thing, 6-6 to 8-4 were most of our predictions.

During the preseason they did, but after the last two weeks, your brethren have gone off the deepend...I've even seen a few actually mention a national title (admittedly, a huge minority), despite most seeing UCONN and ND as likely/possible wins all along. Also despite a pretty bad defensive effort vs. ND. Despite the fact last year started exactly the same way. It's all good though, because we enjoy watching them come slamming back to reality. It's evident now that uconn is a bad team and ND has serious questions still.

Actually most still feel the same way. I know some idiots (maybe a few hundred) on Michigan boards speak for the millions of us that knew what this team was destined for. Just look how many fire Rich Rod sites there are. You won't see the Michigan fans who are angry or laughing at the situation we are in because they don't get on boards and type out useless bs on a constant basis.

The "all in" crowd has basically run off anyone who questions RR's coaching ability on the tsun boards.

NF--that avatar is disturbing! :)

When will he unveil it? :tongue2:

Their opponent's quarterback had a better quarterback rating for this game. Michigan had less time of possession, and less first downs. Michigan had only 15% more yards than the team with the "lesser" offense. When it all boils down, they did indeed win. But it was because of a couple of fluke plays. One fluke play the other way and UMass could have said "our coach has built a good offense and the offense seems to be clicking this year so far."

definitely not the result I was looking for, but like Zwem said, a win is a win.

I had a little bit of hope for the D, but todays effort, if you can call it that, was pretty abismal(sp?). Oh well, move on and try to learn.

Zwem, my expectations are little more than just "bowl eligible" this year.
