2010 TSUN arguments & shenanigans (in-season)

.....The SEC has corrupted so many. It's not about conference pride, it's about team pride.

I just realized something. I guess it might be tough on you guys because of the 0-9 record in bowl games against them and you will hear it all the time. Of course Michigan has slapped the SEC around and seems to always put points up on them. We don't have that problem because we state our record and bowl record and they shut up.

Best way to get rid of it is to beat them at a high stage. It doesn't matter what the other big ten teams do.

When Michigan is down, it's another easy win for you guys. I just don't get people who say they want us to be good again. I would think you guys would not want 1969 or heart breakers all over again.
Absolutely, this is foremost an OSU problem, I'd just rather have the sweep

Hoping that UM gets back on track is playing with fire, but at some point I tire of underachievement ruining the greatest rivalry in sports. The offense is streaking upwards, but the other two units are still free-falling.

Now why would I do that when I can sit back, watch, and laugh like hell over the Pryor slurp-fest that goes on over here?

At least Denard is, you know, actually good. Pryor must be as frustrating to watch for you as the Michigan defense is for me, because both of them are pathetic.

At least Pryor, you know, actually played a good team. Denard's "touch" passes must be as frustrating for you to watch as the Buckeyes are, since they 1) know how to recruit 2) have a stable of backs 3) have WRs over 6 feet tall 3) play defense 4) have a good coach 5) etc.

You're fucking oblivious. You're the reason I hate Michigan. Fans like you. The ones who try their hardest to take the fun out of rivalries by being so stupid that it's not funny. I can't wait until Michigan does exactly what they did last year so you go away.

How has Denard done in the Rose Bowl? Oh, right. He hasn't even been to a bowl. How'd Pryor do? Oh, right, MVP of the Rose Bowl. If your current Michigan staff sniffs the Rose Bowl you should feel privileged. We expect better. How's that feel? Go back to your fucking hole in the ground.

I'm not sure the shenanigans are through yet, but I thought I'd re-post this set of statistics with the defenses added in:

More statistics rebuking the claim that offense drives CFB (which is clearly reactionary to UM and not the actual results overall):
2009 top-10 offenses (excluding non-BCS & big east besides ND)

9-4 Tex Tech
6-7 Texas A&M
13-1 Florida
6-6 Notre Dame
8-5 Auburn
8-5 Stanford
8-5 Arkansas
8-5 Oklahoma
5-7 Kansas
11-3 Georgia Tech

Cinci was the only Big East member in this list, and we saw how that turned out in January.
Which lineup looks better to you?
In contrast, 2009 top-10 defenses (excluding non-BCS & big east)

14-0 Bama
13-1 Texas
13-1 Florida
12-2 Ohio St
08-5 N Carolina
08-5 Oklahoma
11-2 Penn St
11-2 Iowa
10-3 Va Tech
04-8 Arizona St
http://espn.go.com/college-football/conferences/standings/_/id/5/year/2006/big-ten-conference
2002-2009 standings, point scored & allowed (all in b10 play)

B10 defensive stats almost always mirror the standings (09, 08, 07, 05, 04, 03 & 02... only 06 didn't match up).
B10 offensive stats are pretty random, sometimes matching the results (08, 06) but usually having no correlation (09, 07, 05, 04, 03, 02)

Defenses are a mainstay at the core of championships. Sometimes offenses will ride along, but they are clearly not a pre-requisite.

Damn. That 1400 yards of offense and 15 touchdowns just makes me so ANGRY! I wish he had 1900 yards of offense and 15 touchdowns instead!!!

Not to mention all the short fields we've been working under. I wish our defense was horrible so we had to drive 80 yards for a score...that way TP could have more yardz omgz!!!1!!!1!!!

Pathetic? A 65% completion percentage, 4/1 TD/INT ratio, 161.67 passing efficiency rating, and a 6.9 ypc rushing average doesn't sound pathetic to me.

YEAH BUT LOOK AT DENARD'S OMFG HE'S BETTER THAN TEBOW

OMGbro (God, I feel like a douche just typing that name), you do realize that one player having that much offense for a team isn't exactly a good thing, right?
