Game Thread 2010 Rose Bowl: Ohio State 26 Oregon 17 (Final, 1/01/2010)

Our D will be fresh for the 2nd half. IIRC Oregon only ran 22 Offensive plays. WOW!!

Our Offense controlled the clock. Hopefully our Offense will continue to do the same and wear Oregon's D down in the 4th quarter.

The D needs to come out big and stop Oregon after the 2nd half kick off and go back to work on Offense.

GO BUCKS!!

This is what I saw in the first half.

Pryor has done a great job of not making mistakes however he appears indecisive in his decision making. He was lights out on that first drive and I liked the play calling by Tressel to take it right to them. We caught them off guard but since then our offense is struggling just a bit. I feel like Herron could break a run up the gut any time he already almost did in the first QTR. Hopefully Pryor continues to be a good game manager but continues to take some well timed shots. I am overall satisfied with our first half performance however I believe we are going to have to continue putting up points and not just FG's on offense and keep Oregon down. I also like the quick screen's. Pryor seems a little slower from that knee but he's moving around pretty well.

That leads me to my next point, I LOVE the gameplan we're running, we haven't executed everytime when we needed to however I like what Tressel is doing. I was happy he went for it on 4th down keep the pedal on the medal on these guys.

I think this team has been awful clutch in this game and have stepped up big in some key situations such as holding oregon on that one drive when they had the 46 yard run to a FG, getting that reception on 3rd and 12, and getting that INT right before the half to set us up with 3 more points. I think we are dominating this game but simply haven't completly executed we had a few dropped passes and some close near INT's (defensivily) I think if we stick to the gameplan and go out there and just execute we can win this game.

Did anyone else think it was B.S they didn't even review that fumble on the kickoff? He did appear down but the ball looked like it may have been moving around before he was down it was worth a review but it didn't really matter anyway. Our special teams also could step it up a big on the kickoff's we havent had that deep of kickoffs but Oregon's been getting some good field position.

I've also noticed the only big plays we've given up is when we've lost contain on the outside. We've done a great job at stopping hte passing game and aside from a few big runs we haven't given up that many yards on the ground.

Keep it up Bucks and fight hard the next 30 minutes and I believe we'll be leaving pasadena with the Rose Bowl Victory!

GO BUCKEYES!!! :oh:

Brandon Saine has been the most solid offensive performer all year. Today Pryor, Saine stand out, and Posey is solid(except one BIG drop). Need some more help from the O line.

I need some more beer. Cheers Brandon!!

Drink one for Sanzo, his catch put them in FG range.
