Well leave it to Fox to be wrong. Ohio State isn't ranked ahead of Oregon in the BCS. So Oregon is the home team for the Rose Bowl. But i'm sure as others have said, it'd up to Nike. I say we wear the exact jerseys we wore during the 1997 Rose Bowl. Or our current ones...anything else and that's bullshit. So I'm not sure how this happened, because Oregon was pretty far ahead of Ohio State going into this week in the BCS, but Ohio State overtook them somehow, because in the Rose Bowl match-up it said #7 Ohio State vs. #8 Oregon. So Ohio State will be the home team. Which jerseys should Ohio State choose to wear?

I have stated all of these things previously.
I think that Oregon will be able to put 8 men in the box because Pryor is not a good passer. By putting 8 in the box they will be able to stop the run. Oregon has fast LBs that will be able to contain pryor. I believe Oregon will be able to get a pass rush on Pryor, since they will be able to put 8 men in the box.
I believe that the Big 10 is not a good conference why is that just crazy. Ohio State (Big 10 champs) lost to the 5th place team in the pac 10.
Oregon beat both the teams Ohio St. lost to.
The only rebutle I have heard was you do not watch Ohio state play.

I'll even elaborate a bit.
If you put 8 in the box, you're going to be forcing us to throw if you stop the running game. Pryor can throw the deep ball. He's connected on plenty this year. Check Posey's stats and see his long completions in what I'd imagine is about 3/4 of our games this year. When Pryor has time, he can throw accurately and with poise. When he gets pressure, he can go back to old tendencies and have bad mechanics. If you want to stop OSU, yes, you will have to pressure Pryor. But if our line beats your line, you're going to lose. (It's like that way in nearly every game - the team that wins in the trenches wins the game).
Why do I think your defensive gameplan won't work? Because our blocking has been better the second half of the year. Our team is better than the USC and Purdue games. We've grown on offense since then and established an identity. You're going to have to try to stop the run by stacking the box whether you want to or not. And that will open up the pass. It's really what we want you to do. Like I said earlier, OSU is about controlling the clock, field position and dictating the way you play the game.
Why do I think OSU will win? I'll look at it from our defensive perspective.
I think Oregon will get yardage, and get points. We've seen our defense give up some yardage at times this year, but we make some HUGE plays when it matters most (look at the Michigan and Navy games, for example - there are other examples). We've been very stout against the run. Your run offense will be slowed down considerably. What worries me is that we'll get beat with the pass. I think the points that you score will come more from your passing game than your running game. Think Illinois in '07, with a different outcome because I don't think Pryor will be tossing the ball around like free candy.
Our defensive line is simply dominant. We have studs at each position along the line, starting with Cam Heyward, our best d-lineman. Thad Gibson is a terror off the edge, and a responsible player in coverage (look at his pick against Michigan, for example - and again, there are more examples. Illinois comes to mind).
Now, my question is if you can actually provide analysis rather than "we r gonna put 8 in the box cuz pryor sux and our lbs are fast and will win and you guys are in the big 10 and stanford is better"
Reminding you that Houston is a city in Texas.

3rd post in over 4 years.Oregon has absolutely no chance against Ohio State. None. They play in a weak conference where there is no concept of defense. The Pac !0 is only a shade away in quality better than Conference USA. They have no idea what real football is about and they will have a rude introduction to the subject come New Year's Day courtesy of the Ohio State Buckeyes. The Ducks defense is atrocious. We know this. There is nothing stopping the Bucks from running at will. Pryor will simply have his way with the Ducks D. The Buckeye defense, the likes of which Oregon has not seen all year, will effectively neutralize the house of cards offense that is the spread option. Try playing 48 minutes of smash mouth with the Buckeyes. The Ducks will quickly understand that they have been overmatched and outclassed. And speaking of class, you would never see a Jim Tressel-coached player smack another in the face except within the lawful context of a game. The Ducks are done. Stay in Eugene and mail it in. The result will be the same. The Bucks are unbeaten against the Ducks in recent history, and it is just going to stay that way. Sorry.
