2010 OSU Fall Camp (check in on 8/5)

This is as good a place as any for this...

On the BTN preview show, shot at camp last week, Dave Revsine mentioned that the loss to PU last year was the first since 2004 to a team that did not end the season in the BCS. Dave often has really good stats/numbers to throw out, but this one isn't quite right.

USC did not end the season in the BCS last year.

So after 4 straight seasons of losing only to teams that end the season in the BCS, Ohio State lost to non-BCS-participant teams twice last year.

On the plus side, from 2005-2008, Ohio State beat BCS-participants twice (Notre Dame in the '06 Fiesta Bowl and TSUN in the '06 regular season). The Buckeyes had as many victories against BCS-Participants last year as in the previous 4 years combined (Hawkeyes and Ducks).

EDIT: Victory over the Hawkeyes was the first victory over the winner of a BCS game since I don't even know when.

Amazing that it happened in the same year that tOSU broke the record for beating 10-game winners...

Man, the more I read about Cam the more I think he's going to rack up a 10+ sack season. He could end up being the best defensive player in the country this year. I'm not exaggerating, I just think he's going to be that good. He's got the talents and, most importantly, the mindset. I cannot wait to see him blow up offenses this year.
