2010 Heisman Trophy Discussion

I think the Denard Robinson has been an exciting player to watch. However, I think part of the reason he looks so exciting is because he is surrounded by such mediocrity and has only faced one decent defense. Opposing teams also know how to prepare for him now.

A lot tougher defenses loom on the horizon: Iowa, Penn State, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Ohio State. If he continues to put up playstation numbers, then he deserves to win the Heisman.

Personally, I think he will be badly exposed this week. I don't even think he will really be in the frame by the time he sees the Shoe.

I don't see why this guy thinks it is such an open and shut case. Who the hell is Ted Miller anyways?

http://espn.go.com/college-football/heisman10/index

"There is no case against Moore. Not to be mean, but anyone who has any other candidate ahead of Moore is being ridiculous. Moore is the No. 1-rated QB in all of college football. He plays for the undefeated, No. 3-ranked team in the nation. His TD-to-interception ratio? 14-to-1. He's completing 67 percent of his passes. Is he dinking and dunking? Nope. He averages 14.68 yards per completion. Has the schedule been weak? Not according to the computers. Is he a flash in the pan? Nope, last year he was the nation's No. 2 QB with 39 TDs and just three picks."

Would I be "ridiculous" to say that TP is just barely behind Moore in passing stats, but he has 350 yds rushing yards to go with them?

If throwing 39 TDs with only 3 interceptions for Boise State was so impressive, why did he only finish 7th in the voting last year?

Ok Boise State. I'm about sick of this. It's time for you to beg, borrow and steal. Whatever you gotta do to get into a real conference. Go independent and schedule everybody. Do something! You want a seat at the big boy table? Then do it. Until then I'm getting pretty fed up with it...

The ultimate in selective reporting. We'll see if 'ol Ted is singing the same tune with respect to Boise's schedule at the end of the year.

lol, he flaunts Boise State's schedule being better than everyone else's but fails to mention that Boise's schedule is one of the easiest in the country from here on out, whereas everyone else at the top of the polls are entering the toughest part of their schedules ...

How do you feel about the Mountain West? It's better than the Big East, and is at least equivalent to the ACC. Granted, that's in the pending expansion.
