2010 BPCFFB League #2 Season Thread

You had to take Pead with the lack of RB quality left, which was a byproduct of jumping on the run for WRs. We'll see if Baldwin was worth it, that will become the reach, if anything, not Pead.

That's why I opted for a RB3 like Royster even though Fuller is likely a WR1 or WR2.

I liked him a lot... he's not too much of a reach IMO, not sure he would have made it back to you.

I felt like I had to go get him now that we have 3WR and 3RB. So far I'm sitting at:

QB: Blaine Gabbert
RB: Demarco Murray
RB: Isaiah Pead
WR: AJ Green
WR: Jonathan Baldwin

I don't think Baldwin will be the reach. Pitt lost Dickerson, and need the tall guy to step up as a receiving threat in the red zone. I'm not thinking yardage with J.B., I'm thinking TDs.

I'm happy with the talent I've composed. I feel that in BCS leagues talent is more important than the system.

That's certainly a very talented roster. I think starBUCKS has the best talent thus far, and 2 or 3 potential steals in Mallett, Clay & Fuller, who could all be top or close to it at their position.

AJ Green is your most talented player, now you just need his team to stop playing like Bulldogs and squandering talent like usual.

That was the story last year for me.

Leonard Hankerson, WR, Miami FL
I have thought about him when I did my last two pics but just could not bring myself to take a player from Miami. I really liked Hankerson's game when I watched him last year.

With the expansion of the draft, looks like I am going to be taking some Ohio State opponents this year:(

Maybe a bit of a surprise pick (someone let me know if they were actually targeting him, though this time I won't second guess it like Royster)

Kearse was the 6th WR on my board (behind the top-5 WR picks), so I'm thrilled to draft him as the 20th WR selected, especially after going with the more visible Childs as the #11 WR. I was hoping Kearse would slide and was sure Childs would not, so I actually waited to take my favorite of the two.

From game 3 to 12, he had only 1 bad game, Zona. The rest featured 70+ yds receiving and/or a TD catch. By waiting this long to go WR, I felt I needed consistency (especially w/ Childs' streaky #s) and benefiting from Locker and P10 defenses is a nice bonus.

I was going in a different direction with the Obama joke, but it applied pretty well nonetheless

Roy Helu jr., RB Nebraska
I wondered when he was going to get picked and can't understand why everyone was staying away from him. I guess he is not a burner and that's one reason I backed off of him but my RB from Missouri certainy is not a burner so I have no idea why I did not take him previously. Well, I have an idea but I'm not going to admit it:wink2:

Helu is a nice value at this point. My concern with him is he had 7 mediocre games without a td (yards = 60, 68, 24, 24 ... 54, 28, 03 inj). The underlined games were back to back.

I tagged him as someone to keep an eye on when I was going through WRs before my pick, Jake Locker plus his numbers from last year looked good, the overall talent of the team made me hold off until a later round though
