Notable moves on deadline day:

Edmonton sends Dustin Penner to the Kings for Colton Teubert, a first round pick and a condition 2nd/3rd. The Kings needed to get a winger for Kopitar, and this gives them that. Teubert apparently hasn't looked great from what I've read. Nice deal for the Kings, more potential for the Oilers.

New Jersey sends Jason Arnott to the Capitals for Buckeye Dave Steckel and a 2nd round pick. Nice pickup for Washington, they needed a #2 center.

Blackhawks get Chris Campoli from Ottawa for Ryan Potulny and a conditional 2nd round pick. He should help Chicago's defense, which has been surprisingly average.

Florida traded Dennis Wideman to the Capitals for prospect Jake Hauswirth and a 3rd rounder. Thought Wideman would've been a nice pickup for the Jackets, but I guess he's awful at defense. Mike Green-lite for the Caps, I guess. Green is out for a while so I figure that's why they made that deal.

Lots of other minor deals.

Goalie Talbot called up from Greenville
New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that goaltender Cam Talbot has been recalled from the Greenville Road Warriors of the ECHL.

Talbot, 23, has posted a 1-0-1-0 record with a 2.46 goals against average and a .921 save percentage in two appearances with Greenville this season. He made 25 saves in a 7-1 win vs. Gwinnett on Feb. 22 in his ECHL debut following his assignment from the Connecticut Whale of the American Hockey League (AHL) on February 21.

Prior to his assignment, Talbot posted a record of 8-3-2 with a 2.42 goals against average, a .919 save percentage and two shutouts in 13 appearances with Connecticut. He was 7-1-1 with a 2.40 goals against average, a .916 save percentage and one shutout in nine games prior to suffering an ankle sprain on January 16 vs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Talbot earned his first professional win with a 41-save shutout at Providence in his season debut on October 17.
