Matt Barkley led a game winning drive with at least 2 throws I can remember that required some arm strength. Then he couldn't even play the next week.

He's been punished for his size in 3 of the 4 games, and only one of those had anything resembling a defense.Sure, I'd rather he had an additional 10-15 lbs on him, but I'm not really that concerned.
That will happen when you play 2 mediocre MAC schools and E KY. They had a couple solid players but overall they still clearly resembled an Indiana defense.Statistically, Indiana has the 4th best defense UM will face this year.
I'm not sure I agree there, he often circles around the pocket when cornered, trying to make something happen, but isn't especially elusive when the defense is dictating his escape route (versus him attacking the defender in front of him).I think Tate's pretty good at avoiding a direct shot.
I haven't seen a dual threat quarterback who doesn't take big hits. Some avoid them more often than others, but even Vince Young was battered and beaten after his trip to the Shoe.As he continues to learn the offense, he won't be put in situations where he hesitates, thus causing a big hit.

because that won't change as more and more games are played.http://web1.ncaa.org/mfb/natlRank.jsp?year=2009&rpt=IA_teamtotdef&site=org&div=IA&dest=O
Running down the list I see:
PSU at 9
OSU at 16
Iowa at 33
Indiana at 40

Prior to you guys, they had played: Eastern Kentucky (99th ranked Offense in FCS), WMU (#73 FBS) and Akron (#114). That's called a paper tiger.blueinfla;1554001; said:http://web1.ncaa.org/mfb/natlRank.jsp?year=2009&rpt=IA_teamtotdef&site=org&div=IA&dest=O

and I never said your statement was pretty retarded......but it certainly was implied.Never said it wouldn't. Sure it's going to change. By how much, no one knows.
blueinfla;1554009; said:Where was the hit in the IU game that hurt him??? I don't think there even was a hit. I think he hurt it on his TD run where he lept for the TD. The only hit I remember of any consequence was against EMU when he hesitated getting rid of the ball on a busted play.
