I've heard there are rumors going around about expanding Michigan Stadium in 2015. Anyone heard anything about this? Something about either of the endzones. Getting a second deck, or just continuing with the bowl? 130,000 people would be unreal.
do they have the money for that? It was like pulling teeth to pull off this enormous expansion.

I don't know. I know UM was one of a very few that actually had a positive net profit last year as an athletic department. They sure are spending a bunch of money though. New indoor facility for football, the press box/suite renovations, etc... That's all for 15 some odd years of neglect though.

I heard it was in the works so RR could actually fit all offered recruits in the stadium at the same time. Impossible to do now, of course...even if they're all 5'6", 155 lbs.

IF RR continues to pump out sub par teams; then I highly doubt the revenue will be there for stadium renovations (amongst other possibilities).

I don't know. I agree if it comes to 5-6 years of sub-par teams. But, despite the worst record in school history, UM was still able to average more fans per contest than any other school. UM has a great following; it'd take years upon years to trash that.

Hell, since 1997, UM has pretty much had sub-par teams or teams that severely underperformed.

I don't care what they reported, that stadium was no more than half full for their Northwestern loss last season.

Talk to UM fans who were going to home games in the '50s and early/mid '60s...

Do you know what the reported attendance was for that game?

I just re-watched it, and it was certainly way more than half full.

Aside from an open spot in the top left, it looked pretty full.

Drake's teammate at Skyline, four-star linebacker Corey Nelson, is also professing strong interest in Michigan.
Quite an offer list for Nelson (LSU, OU, Texas). RR loves him some package deals.

Yeah, this could be the 2010s version of 2009s Witty/Robinson deal.
