2009 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Love your analysis, CB40! Would love to see 6 DB's in this class with the assessment you make about the current roster situations.
I only count 6 2009 offers so far for DB position.
We have 3 corners offered:
Givens, Mc Gee, and Barnett (verbal)
Supposedly the next 2 high on the board are Pat White and Corey Brown, who do you believe may get the next offer(s)?
Recruiting services have Brown rated higher than all the names listed.
Any idea of a hold up/reluctance to offer Brown after Bell's appeal?

Then by my count we aso have 3 safety offers, (not including Jordan Hall, RB?):
Wood, Vlad, Hunter (verbal)
Who else might get an offer here (Mike Jones, E. J. Banks) or are we semiconfident that these six will be commits?

Right now I think that we lead for Vlad, and Hunter of the uncommitted guys on your list...I think there is a solid chance that Brown gets an offer soon, and if he does it will be over IMO...I think we have as good a shot as anyone on McGee and Banks...I think Hall is being looked at as a DB...

So right there there is 8 DB's that I think we have a very good shot at and that isn't counting Telfort who is just starting the whole recruiting process and will be a late commit somewhere...

I fully expect 6-7 DB's in this class.

Counting athletes right? I think if you include them that will most definetly happen...Wood, Barnett, Hunter, Givens, McGee, Vlad, and Banks could all happen. I think it could be possible especially since Banks Hall, and McGee could end up on offense just as easily. If we have room I would like to see us take Brown as well. But I agree with cb40's...if we take another LB beyond Bell, they will have to be either very versatile (Homan, Boren) or a blue chipper.

The kid from Hawaii, T'eo...He is one of the best lb's I have seen on film, and easily a top 5 player in this class would be a great fit...

I agree on the athletes, but I also think that you have to add Hall to that list and think about Telfort as well...

Buckeyes get two more recruits from Pennsylvania

Staff Report

Tuesday, April 22, 2008

Ohio State raided Pennsylvania for two more football recruits this week, landing the state's top-rated senior-to-be in linebacker Dorian Bell and picking up an all-purpose running back from Terrelle Pryor's high school.
The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Bell of Monroeville, Pa., is rated as the 22nd-best prospect nationally by Rivals.com and had scholarship offers from about three dozen schools, including Florida, Michigan and Penn State.
