2009 tOSU Offense Discussion

I like that we changed things up after the Purdue blowup(Tressel`s worst lost ever) and decided to concentrate on running the ball. I just wonder that now we are an 80/20 run to pass team.....what happens when we have to throw the ball down the field to beat a team that has a run stopping defense(Florida, Alabama, Texas)....luckily we won`t find that out this year. I have enjoyed the return to Tressel ball and I love the wins. Next year should be interesting to watch, will JT let TP throw the ball around?.....I just don`t see that happening until his senior year. Go Bucks

I laughed, even if "Undecided" is a thinly veiled insult. Truly, the offense has been a weird grab-bag this season. But hey, ten ugly wins are still ten wins. If only we had a master offensive planner to give us some finesse, like Michigan has.

Just watching the UF/FSU game; I'd like to see OSU run something like the inside shovel pass that UF runs. Given how much speed option we ran this year, it'd be nice to try and punish defenders for overpursuing.

I think they used an inside shovel pass a few times with Saine instead of Hernandez. Not sure if that was this year or lsat.

I don't recall seeing it this year, but that doesn't mean it wasn't used. I think it might have been last year. Still, seems as though it should be effective given our tendency with the speed option.
