2009 Rivals/Scout/etc. National & Regional Rankings

That's absurd... Telfort is an incredible player. Then again, I would make the same comments about Chris Fields. They must not think Fields' times are legit since he is from Ohio. No way he runs a sub-4.4.

They aren't questioning Fields speed, but his polish...But with offers from tOSU, PSU, and Illinois and some of these other guys with no offers, it is a little absurd to have him that low...

As for Telfort he is easily a top 100 type player...Up to 26 offers and getting looks from tOSU, LSU, Florida, etc...

Hopefully they fix Fields and that will actually be a pretty good list imo. Simon is a tad low, not going to complain. Givens got the respect he deserves and Barnett needed/needs to go to some combines. He is a 5 star player and I think Scout and Rivals want to see him in person. Mewhort ranked as a tackle doesn't surprise me with his frame and wingspan...in fact, if he didn't pull so well, I would say he would definetly be a tackle. I honestly think Bell could be the top LB in the country (either Bell or Teo imo), so I think that's not a bad rank. Also, Cierre Wood not in the top 5 is a bit crazy. Put Hunter (160-230ish) and Fields (50-120ish) on the list and that's a pretty good effort imo.

Te'o is a freaking stud...

One of the best LB's I have ever seen on film in my short time watching film...Up there with the Galipo kid now playing at USC...

I agree but the only thing giving Te'o the edge is size imo. I see Bell as a WILL and a speed demon with amazing polish for being so athletic. I see the same in Te'o but he is bigger. I think Gallipo is actually a good comparison and yes, unfortunately they will likely end up together. Gallipo was the best HS LB I have seen (granted I'm young). Like it or not USC is starting to get quite a LB tradition going again. Rivers, Mauluga, and Cushing was the best LB corp in the country last year and they have stud after stud waiting to take over. Now they will have guys like Tatum, Kavienga, Gallipo, etc. taking over.
