nycholat was just picked up on waivers this week. the prospect is ryan wilson a 22 year old for the sarnia sting who last year made third team all ohl. not really a goal scorer but has prodcued a lot of points. he was invited to the blues camp in 06, then the flyers in 07 and then signed by the flames this summer. he was undrafted.

What little I know of it seems like that might piss off the Toronto fans something fierce. Even if it makes sense its tough to sell a fan base on standing pat with a shitty team at a trade deadline in any sport.

Whatever he does, they'll be pissed. How can a fanbase like that have such a shitty team every year ? The tickets at that barn are priced so high, you're better off driving to Buffalo/Pittsburgh to see the them if you're a Leafs fan.

TSN is reporting the rangers gave up a second and a conditional pick based on how deep the Rangers make it in the playoffs if they even make it.

It is also reported that the Rangers have mortgaged the farm and have picked up Derek Morris, no details have been released yet.

I was reading on a Leafs forum the other day where they thought Nic would net a good prospect and a first or a great prospect and a 2nd. :slappy:
