2009 contest: Who plays & who redshirts?

Plays in '09

Jordan Whiting will put the special in special teams!
Storm Klein enrolled early to play early.
John Simon will bring relief at DE.
C.J. Barnett nickle and dime coverage
Jamie Wood special teams
Dorian Bell special teams and speed rusher off the edge
Melvin Fellows just too good to sit.
Reid Fragel tight end is not a position of depth.
Dominic Clarke special teams coverage like Hartline.
Duron Carter will earn a role in the spread offense.
Corey Brown has a nose for the ball, just to good to sit.
Jaamal Berry he is special, will need to substitute for Boom.
Marcus Hall Only OL to earn time on the 2 deep.

Redshirts in '09
Jack Mewhort another year of strengthening and learning the system but will dominate next year.
Adam Homan may grow into a will with time.
Jonathan Newsome will use the year to get stronger and bigger.
Sam Longo OL depth is just too much.
Chris Fields this one is close.
Jordan Hall RB depth will give the coaches a chance to extend his career.
Corey Linsley Bigger faster stronger next year.
Zach Boren depth issues, but will contribute down the road.
James Jackson he may see some action, but only if injuries hit hard.
Adam Bellamy he is going to contribute in 2010.
Kenneth Guiton patience, learning, study the game plan hard.
Carlos Hyde close, but I think he will make major contributions in 2010-12.

It doesn't appear that this Ozone report from October changed over the last 2 months.

BB73, Any chance we can get an update on this poll?
I know that my choices were poor, but the play and special contributions of Boren, Homan, and Newsome were a pleasant surprise.

DaddyBigBucks won the contest. He and generaladm both had 14, but DBB posted first, so he wins the v$50,000.

14 - DBB, generaladm
13 - leroyjenkins, NewYorkBuckeye, Piney, Sears3820, BuckyKatt, Oregon Buckeye, gracelhink, GoodLifeSean
12 - billmac91, BuckNutty, sepia5, MililaniBuckeye
11 - BB73, buckeyemania11, NFBuck, WoodyWorshiper, GrizzlyBuckeye
10 - lou270slant, bukIpower, ant80

Carlos Hyde was ignored, since he wasn't on the team yet. So of the remaining 24 guys, we averaged about 12 points, so we should have just flipped coins. :!

DBB's key was nailing Boren to play and Wood to redshirt. generaladm also had Wood right, and would have won if he had Klein playing, as most of us did.

The only players we all got right: Carter, Bellamy, Linsley, and Longo.

The players we all got wrong: Corey Brown, Dorian Bell, and Jamaal Berry.
