We love that Francies was available. We think he's going to be a great cb for us in the future. He's got good size, speed very fluid hips, good hands and loves to hit. He's also very impressive against the run when he's on the line.

he had a good year at Oregon State as a Soph, but was kicked off the team after being caught with a loaded handgun. Has been a model citizen at SJS and has been a very good influence in the locker roomn, according to the San Jose coaches. Besides, we've been known to take chances on character guys.

I just got back in town and wanted to weigh in on the Colts third round pick of Gartrell Johnson. I see both the ESPN guys panned the pick. This goes to show you once again, ESPN is nothing but a clown show.

I have followed this young man since his high school recruitment, when he was known as Gartrell "The Predator" Shavers. He was the Dade county rushing champion his senior year and was recruited by such college power house programs as The Ohio State University, Bama, and Free Shoes, just to name a few. Both his Scout and Rivals profile had him running a 4.5, not a 4.7.

Coming back from injuries, Gartrell rushed for over 2,400 yards (5.3 per carry) his final 2 years at CSU. He also added almost 400 yards (9.0) receiving. At 6'0" 225 and not afraid to block for his QB, Peyton loved this pick.

Oh, and by the way, Gartrell led his team to a bowl this season. He put up 285 yards rushing, and 90 more receiving against a decent Fresno State team.
Joesph Adai better get off his ass, or "The Predator" will be in the house.
