We like this pick for a number of reasons:

1. Both of our starting guards were lost for the season with injuries and we really have no idea how effective they'll be in this upcoming season. Beefing up our O-Line was a goal of ours.

2. This young man is 6'7 380 lbs and played guard. His footwoork is good and with Khaliff Barnes a free agent, we'll be giving him a strong look at tackle

3. Don't question the best dress coach in the NFL

He looks like he must have been the largest baby ever born in Louisiana. Somebody should check on that.

We're happier than shit that Unger was still available. He's a perfect fit for our zone blocking scheme. We had him rated as the best interior lineman available. We had him coming out of the Senior Bowl as the best canter, yet he's versatile enough to play guard or center. He started at Oregon for 4 years and showed versatility by playing all along the offensive line. Our new o-line coach, from Cal, saw him alot and agrees he's a better prospect than his own, Alex Mack. After 2 years of drafting offensive skill players, it's time to get them protection and we feel we couldn't have done any better than Jason Smith and Max Unger.

I love the Smith and Unger pics for the Raiders. Kwame Harris and Cornell Green are complete stiffs. Al Davis must be in a diabetic coma because he would never pick two lineman to start the draft.

First off I would like to welcome Victor Harris to the Packers Organization. As a coaching staff we were very impressed with Victor's aggressiveness and his playmaking ability. We feel that he is a perfect fit for our secondary and that he can contribute right away. Plus it will help ease the transition for Charles Woodson to safety.
