The thermonuclear disaster that would strike in that likely event could be entertaining to say the least. If Petrino bolts, I plan on popping some popcorn and watching the show.

Yes, I know what Petrino sticking around will cause me to do. Petrino sticking around will cause me to head on over to the Ourkansas boards and just refresh their Petrino thread over and over and over and over......

U-M's Rodriguez expects Graham, McGuffie to return | Freep.com | Detroit Free Press

Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez held his season-ending media conference this morning. Among the highlights:

? He said he expects defensive lineman Brandon Graham to return, holding off going to the NFL.

? While confirming the departures of Zion Babb, Jason Kates and Artis Chambers,
Rodriguez said he expects tailback Sam McGuffie to return, even though it's a hardship for him to be so far away from his family in Texas.

? Rodriguez said U-M has three non-conference games scheduled for next year: Western Michigan, Notre Dame and Eastern Michigan. The Oct. 17 bye week remains open. U-M is trying to land a fourth non-conference game on that date.

? Though there are no scheduled/necessary surgeries, there is concern about McGuffie, who suffered another concussion against Ohio State. Rodriguez said multiple concussions for McGuffie would result in a further medical evaluation.

? He expects to possibly visit Oklahoma, whose coaches came to Michigan last spring, to discuss offense. He is close with their coordinator Kevin Wilson.

? He said he does not expect major attrition, but said if players don't want to buy in 100 percent, they can leave. If they buy in, as he said, he wants them.

? Rodriguez expects that injured lineman Cory Zirbel won't play anymore and could become a student assistant.
? Rodriguez said he has not evaluated his staff, but will. He said seven coaches are currently on the road recruiting and that next week he will begin a three-week swing during a contact period.

Hard to believe teams aren't lining up to get that game.

Gotta give UM credit for scheduling two more in-state schools. At least Western and Central are ranked ahead of UM this season.

RR does have an advantage in recruiting the next few weeks. Although his team needs the extra practices more.

Do you think the fan base expects Petrino to stick around or not?

If he bolts and they are not expecting it, there could be some supreme hate and discontent from several people.

Discusses Pearlie Graves and Vlad:

Michigan grabs two four-star prospects in a week | Freep.com | Detroit Free Press

I thought the last quote by Vlad was interesting.

"I love Michigan and my heart was just there ever since I visited them earlier this year,? Emilien said at the news conference. ?I have a really great relationship with Michigan assistant coaches Rod Smith, Tony Gibson and Calvin McGee.?

With a 3.8 grade-point average, Emilien will enroll at Michigan in January which should help with his rehabilitation from a torn knee ligament he suffered this past summer.

Ohio State, Stanford and Wisconsin were the other finalists considered by Emilien. The Buckeyes were an early leader for the four-star safety, but by the time the game rolled around between the two rivals this past weekend, Emilien was in Michigan?s camp.
?Ohio State is a great offensive team and I think you, without question, have to respect that,? Emilien said. ?But at the same time, the losing has to stop, and I believe with what we have coming in, I can be a part of something special in getting Michigan back where they belong.?

I'd love to know what direction he's taking with this. But I guess we'll find out soon enough.

But you'd think with his super-fast-faster-than-Ginn-speed, he'd be able to quickly get back in the play in time to whiff on a tackle.
Hey now, don't be dissin' Morgan Trent's speed. I have never seen a CB that so routinely misses the tackle near the LOS, then recovers to miss the tackle again 40 yards down the field on the same play.
