2008 tOSU Spring Game (4/19) & Practice Discussion

Interesting discussion...
First of all Todd Boeckman is the starter, will be the starter all year, and if past history has any bearing, will be given a very long leash. It is clear that JT does not like quarterback controversies, so unless there is a total collapse by Todd there won't be one.
.

Does injury count as total collapse? Zwick lost his job to Troy Smith when he was injured in a game...Against Iowa I think. Smith then kept the job as the starter due to his fine play and not due to Zwick's poor play.
Who is to say this couldn't happen again? Maybe Pryor gets playing time and looks so good that JT decides he has to keep him on the field?

Not saying this would ever happen....My point is that no one should say Boeckman will be the starter all year.

Expecting people to come up with every possible contingency in which TB might be sat down is ridiculous. When I say Boeckman will be the starter for every game in 2008, you are supposed to act like a normal person and assume that means there is no parade of horribles which puts Boeckman on the sideline.

But... but... what if he breaks his thumb in a billiards accident? Ok... he won't start every game....
And... what if he gets mono? OK, he won't start every game....
and how about if he is abducted by aliens? Yes... he won't start if he's on a spaceship....

OHIO STATE FOOTBALL
'08 Buckeyes have full cupboard

Sunday, April 27, 2008 3:26 AM
By TIM MAY and KEN GORDON

The month of May might still be days away, but spring already has come and gone for the veteran-heavy Ohio State football team.
The Buckeyes are back to the offseason-workout phase of their training; the coaches hit the road recruiting, stacking more big names onto the 2009 commitment list; and the fans, stoked by a blase-as-usual spring game, are left to consider the real possibility that their team could return to a third straight national championship game. Oh, and Terrelle Pryor is scheduled to start OSU summer school on June 16.
With all of that in mind, Dispatch beat reporters Tim May and Ken Gordon hit the past, present and future blocking sleds as they, too, ponder the great beyond for what appears to be one of the more talented teams overall in OSU history:

That's what I would have thought. It's not, as some Michigan posters would have you believe, that JT hasn't seen and used the spread. And just as showing the spread in a spring game gives something away to those who might scout us, it also gives something more to think/worry about to those same scouts. I also don't think that Pryor was brought here to collect splinters. I would not want to have to plan for the many ways this offense could go.

Well, if you had that job, you had better plan on containing Beanie - because if you don't, a spread offense will be the least of your worries.

I would have to think that when Henton and Pryor are in, we will see the same Offense we saw in '05.

OK, don't plagiarize, but just what are the five critical questions answered? In your own words please as I'm not going to join (pay) for Rivals. Enquiring minds want to know.

I originally posted the questions and they were removed by a mod, so I'm not going to post them again. Sorry.
