From TexasPrepXtra...J.B. is #2 behind Andrew Luck in their ranking of the top 100 prospects in the Greater Houston area.

espn's top 150 for '08. To call it laughable is being kind.
Ohio players of note:
50. Brandon Moore
55. Mike Adams
65. Kyle Rudolph
81. Nick Dilullo
88. Brandon Beachum
108. Zebrie Sanders
No Stoneburner or Torrence.
Not just OSU, but Big Four offers (OSU, um, ND, PSU) are a good barometer for any Big Ten-region recruit. Beachum, for instance, doesn't have offers from any of them.I really don't understand how you can rank a prospect the best in Ohio when he doesn't even have an offer yet from Ohio state. To me, that would be the ultimate barometer for ranking Ohio prospects(not the final one, but definitely the most important).
I don't think Beachum's recruitment will be anything like this, but the same thing happened with Lee Tilley(I think that was his name). Good prospect, but wasn't recruited by Ohio State yet the national sites drooled over him.
If a recruit ranker wants to make himself look smart, then they should rank Ohio kids by Ohio State offers.
Am I wrong on thinking this?
