Neither Rivals or Scout are showing anything but I have seen numerous UM fans say that they landed Wemers today...one guy also states that they consider Wermers, O'Neil and Mealer to be on the "same level" as Adams, Shugarts and Brewster.

they are either

a)

or

b) :drunks:

or c) :crazy:and :drunks:

I'd like to hear what evidence they are using to back this up.

Free Scout

5/18

Updated Southeast top 150. Of note:

#9 Michael Brewster
#13 Etienne Sabino
#16 Josh Jarboe
#20 A.J. Harmon
#31 Robert Quinn
#32 Quinton Coples
#34 Brandon Harris
#61 Davon Johnson
#88 Terrance Parks
#103 Greg Shaw
#105 Carlton Thomas
#114 Keith Wells
#148 Richard Watson

I am starting to get worried about Miller's health...he obviously is going crazy. And I'll tell you this...if I am a FSU fan I am livid...based on the film I've seen, Vincent Williams at #91 and Moses McCray at #129 is nothing short of laughable.

I can't say that I have seen many on that list, but from what I can see I agree...

Also suprised to see Jones ranked ahead of Green...Maybe b/c he hasnt verballed yet...:sneaky:

Let's see how they perform on the field in college.

Well isnt that we always do...I never said that higher rankings make them better than guys that are ranked lower them...

Also if you could take your 3 guys or our 3 guys there is no way you would say you would take those guys unless you just say that b/c they were the guys that chose to go to Michigan...

How about we stop beating around the bush. NOBODY in their right mind would take the lineman trio that Michigan has right now over the trio Ohio State has.

Anyone bringing up "let's see them on the field" is just trying to find a way to make them seem more equal when in fact they aren't considered that way at this moment in time.

CAN THEY turn out to be better, sure. Although that is like Ohio State buying a BMW and Michigan buying a Dodge and hoping for the BMW to underperform so the Dodge can keep up.

Don't take that as a slight to the Michigan players that you have picked up. They are some of the best in the nation I'm sure, but to come on an Ohio State board and say that the, eventual, 3 5* OL that we have gotten so far aren't to be considered above the OL that you have gotten is nothing short of ridiculous. Be happy with what you have.

Stars mean nothing. Ex: Braylon Edwards 2 star, A.J. Hawk 3 star

We've had these debates before. Stars can be shown to mean nothing and shown to prove the exact opposite.

The point remains, stars or no stars, that NOBODY I've read, seen, or heard about would take the Michigan trio over the Ohio State trio at this time. That is the point, not the stars issue.

You seemed to take offense when we didn't agree with an assessment that the UM trio were "on the same level" as the OSU trio. Again, can that be true? Sure. As it stands now though, they are not considered as such.

I think it's more appropriate to say stars don't mean everything, because it would be idiotic to deny that the star systems do have some level of accountability predicting college stardom.

However, it's impossible to argue the offer lists, and our guys have some of the best offer lists among all recruits, regardless of position.

Stars can mean nothing, or they can tell less than the whole story or they can tell exactly what they purport to tell.
Edwards had a stand-out senior year following a HS transfer. Rivals had him as a 3* (FWIW) and PrepStar named him to their All-American HS team on his senior year performance (When he set records in many categories of play).
So nobody was surprised, I think, when Edwards showed well in AA.
