Those guys are definitely on a mission. Last year, there was a lot of motivation from the Fiesta debacle, and it allowed them to overachieve. This year, the motivation is doubled. Sounds like a ton of players have been in Cbus all summer to work out. That will have benefits not only this season, but in the future. The seniors are setting a great example for the younger players. If that work ethic is carried over to subsequent classes, it can only mean good things for the Buckeyes. Anything can be accomplished through hard work.

 I'd probably bump our receivers and DL up to an 8.5 but other than that, the ratings looked good. Our secondary and RB's were given a perfect 10.

Thanks for the link! I've always thought CFN is the most insightful and unbiased of the CFB websites. Fiutak is usually spot on. I hope he's right about the Buckeyes this year. One of the most glowing reviews I've read for any team.

On Monday the fall practice opens ( Halleluyah!) and we can start to get into our feeding frenzy.
Who will be the leaders on the team? Captain Obvious says Animal, Jenkins, Todd and Beanie.
Who else? who do you think will step up this year?
Who will lead the lines?
Which freshman do you ,or would like to see step up ?
Which other player do you think will?
Who do you think might be a sleeper? Browning ?
It's going to be a great season, JMO.

For Captains, I'll take Animal, MJ, Boeckman, & Boone.

As for who the other leaders will be...sounds like we could be oozing with them...Beanie, Robo, Hartline, Marcus Freeman, Coleman, Heyward, Denlinger...sounds like D-Wash is putting in the work to dig himself outa the hole and be a major part of this year's run...

...but after nearly losing all of last year, let me submit Lawrence Wilson's name as a guy who may not be at the forefront of a team this loaded with talent & experience, yet should have a huge impact both stats wise and as a leader on the D-Line.

And as far as the Freshman go, Pryor having an impact is a given, so I'll say Big Mike Adams will crack the two deep before the middle of the season and possibly even start a game or two before the end of the season.

I know, it's nothing earth shattering, but I'm not a huge risk taker...hate to put myself too far out there. :biggrin:

More than 50 players attend charitable event to raise money for the Kidney Cancer Association
COLUMBUS, Ohio ? Twenty Ohio State football student-athletes went head-to-head in a football video game tournament at Eddie George's Grille 27 in Columbus Wednesday to help make a rare disease better known. The event was part of student-run organization called Uplifting Athletes in an effort to raise awareness and money for the Kidney Cancer Association.
Around 20-30 additional players and fans were in attendance to show their support for the cause. Donald Washington claimed the tournament title after upsetting Chris Wells in the semifinals. But not before a dominating 34-0 win over Kyle Mitchum in the championship match.
"A lot of the guys took to it with a real open mind," chapter President Ben Kacsandi said. "And with coach Daniels, they all know about he and his kidney cancer and that's very close to our hearts. So I think this was a really good opportunity for the guys to come out, support it, talk to family and friends and get as many people as we can out here."
