It would be nice to have 4.4 speed at every position...

QB - Terelle Pryor (4.4)
Tailback - Beany Wells (Who cares about his forty time)
Tailback/ Slot Receiver - Brandon Saine (4.4)
Slot Receiver - Flash Thomas (4.4)
Receiver - Ray Small (4.4)
Tight End - Jacob Stoneburner (4.46)
Supposedly, Ray Small runs a 4.28, according to Butch Reynolds. Also, Wells is in the upper 4.4/low 4.5 range.*

*All times recorded before mandatory Northern Slowness is factored in. Adds at least 2 seconds to 40 time.

many will call me crazy, but this is the year to win a chmapionship......this is our best D since 2002, and if Defense wins championships, this is our year

I don't see why we shouldn't be expecting this year to be a championship run

Who called you crazy?..Nice call Bill:osu:

Yeah, pretty lucky call.

I do think this year has parralelled 2002 in many ways. Lack of respect all year, not very sexy, and lot's of studs on the defensive side of the ball.

2002 VS. 2007 on defense is pretty similar with the nod going to 2007 IMO

Big Vern vs Will Smith
James Laurinits vs Matt Wilhelm
Malcolm Jenkins vs Chris Gamble

Obviously 2002 had other studs like Mike Doss, Tim Anderson, Donnie Nickey......but this 2007 team will go down fighting that is for sure

I wouldn't want any other coach leading us into this championship game either

Gholston is gone regardless. Laurinaitis will also make his decision regardless of the outcome and indications are that he'll return...

If you guys win tomorrow, I would expect Laurinaitis to go. He's probably going to be the #1 LB taken and he will have had a NC to go with it. Not a bad combination.

Changes in 2008

Maybe a little too early but I feel maybe we can discuss this instead of wallowing in our sorrows... I don't want this to turn into a Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda or what huge mistakes we made. I really want to stay away from that and put my mind onto something contructive. So here goes...

What big changes would you like to see or What do you think might change in 2008?

Henton takes over Starting QB....? (Smith from Zwick maybe...)
Coaching changes....?
Tressel changing coaching strategies...?

Ideas...Comments...Questions

wayyy too early....get the recruiting done first.....

It's too close to the game.....
to go along with that...a post I made after last years NC loss

Well, if we plan on making it back to the NC game next year, which is a decent possibility, there will be 51 days off again between The Game and the BCS NC. I'm sure it will be like this for at least the next few seasons. I'm also sure that Tressel will do better with the free time than whatever occurred this time. I have no factual evidence (it's probably out there) but I tend to believe that Tressel learns from his mistakes and will know how to handle this long layoff next time around.

Looks like it's back to the long off-season now. These football seasons come and go, there will be ups and downs, and we'll be back here same time next season discussing Buckeye Football.

All is not lost. Spring ball starts up in about 3 months. We'll dissect and rave over pictures of the players at Spring practice. Then we'll be all giddy over the Spring game and start to make predictions 5 months before the season even kicks off. Summer time comes and soon enough we will be watching our Buckeyes sprint onto the field to take on Youngstown St.

In the mean time the Basketball team should keep us Buckeye maniacs occupied. Go Bucks!

the off-season looks like a long way off, but we'll be welcoming in a new freshman class to go along with some other fresh faces of Buckeyes soon enough. Naturally, every season won't be the same, there will be natural changes that occur because of personel to go along with whatever other adjustments the coaches make.

It is something to think about and get an initial reaction to. Anything to keep another loss off my mind and a look to the future.

keep your mind off of it?

Virtually any changes that could be made have to come from performances like this game.
