2008 BP Poll - Week Seven

Okie State hasn't lost either, and has played better all season...so I don't understand how you have them ranked behind BYU.

last time i checked it was an opinion poll and in my opinion i think byu is better. maybe my mind will change after this weekends games. maybe it wont. its nothing against okie state. their win in columbia was very impressive but like was previously stated they also let a terrible texas a&m squad score 28 on em in stillwater. so who really knows. it will all play out.

correct. I actually went to 1-AA Nicholls St. in Thibodaux, LA.
Didn't graduate though.

I don't even know what state is the home of Ball St.
I have heard of Nicholls State never heard of that city.

Indiana, Muncie I believe. David Letterman graduated from Ball State.

Indiana.

Ball State has been building a nice program in recent years, with quarterback Nate Davis being one of the primary reasons for their success.

BTW, I had Ball State at #16 this week - by far the highest ranking of any BP pollster.

 BYU let a terrible Washington team score 28 (er 27 due to Locker's flag)...against them, and they don't have a win nearly as good as OkSt. You are right, it is an opinion, but my opinion is that your opinion isn't a very good one in this regard. BYU :shake:

It isn't your poll...it's BYU. :shake: BYU is the most overrated team in the country. And they have a weak schedule left. And i'm sure people will say if they beat TCU than they are legit. Like TCU is any good. I love when top mid majors beat other top mid majors and everybody swoons. MSU is gonna be a tougher game for Ohio State than TCU or BYU ever would be, and it's quite obvious how I feel about how good MSU is.

Small town southwest of New Orleans. I live a lil south east of there (too small to show on map). In a straight line, about half way between Houma and Galliano

Nate Davis is a very talented QB. One of the guys who lived in my residence hall last year grew up with him. Before every game, he would just throw 70 yard bombs and make it look effortless. Since he is going to MAC school, he is learning how to scramble to make a pass, not scramble to make a run (See what Boo Jackson did to us?).

Honestly, Michigan should have gotten Brady Hoke. Smart coach, seems honest, and a Michigan Man.

I guess some folks were impressed by Texas Tech's home, OT win over Nebraska moreso than I. Top five? I couldn't even put them in my top ten. But it's not fair to question others without putting my own cards on the table. :wink2:

My poll:

1. Texas
2. Alabama
3. Penn State
4. Oklahoma State
5. Oklahoma
6. Florida
7. USC
8. Missouri
9. Georgia
10. Ohio State
11. LSU
12. BYU
13. Texas Tech
14. Boise State
15. Utah
16. Kansas
17. Virginia Tech
18. North Carolina
19. California
20. Michigan State
21. Vanderbilt
22. Wake Forest
23. Florida State
24. Pittsburgh
25. South Florida

I thought last week was bad until I started doing this week's. It's really almost a crap shoot after #10 and becomes an even bigger one after #15. I had mixed emotions about the teams that are still undefeated and putting them ahead of some teams with even 2 losses. It should be an interesting poll this week especially since the BCS one comes out later today. We should try to do some type of comparison between the two polls.
