Two horse race here... will be closer than the others have been, Casino Drive will be in this until the end... actually could win the thing... If Desormeaux pulls a Smarty Jones and moves too soon, he could have problems....
If he's the predator on the other hand, he should be fine... just save the speed for the end, he may need it.

If his hoof holds up on that quarter crack,Big Brown will be good to go!
They will not reset his shoes till Friday due to letting it heal naturally & they will use an acrylic/fiberglass patch on the quarter crack.
They have wire sutures as well on his foot now,might even have a drain tube in it. They do not want too much time on a new reset for problems to occur.
He will be running on a steroid called Winstrol,which is still legal in racing.
My horse had to have an acrylic patch from an abcess,which a pebble come out through the hairline & hoof, it held for a month due to his category of work compared to Big Brown's! The abcess took about 10 months to grow out completely.
If that quarter crack would go all the way to his hairline that could be very,very,very bad for Big Brown!:(

FWIW Dutrow said on ESPN today that Big Brown hasn't had winstol since they were in Florida in March.

For those who haven't done the comparison, the odds on each of the 10 horses is better here than in the morning line that was set after the post positions were drawn. Big Brown was 2-5 on that, and 1-2 here. If you'd rather profit $4 than $5 for each $10 you bet, head to the OTB.

i was going to say, he'll probably be 1-5 or worse at the track on saturday. i'm going anyway just to say i was there. i'll probably put some money on casino drive just for the hell of it.
