As Buckeye fans it's upsetting to see how "subjective" the BCS is treating this years team. It's very obvious that voters are keeping us down and other teams to "fix" a certain outcome.
The People's Choice Bowl. Just watch as the Big XII "winner" gets trampled in the BCS Championship game and the whining starts anew. :tongue2:

If we deserve to be any higher, we deserve to be at #9. Are they keeping us down or are we keeping us down? We needed to win against USC, PSU, or both to deserve a higher ranking.

True. But the "How the fuck did they lose to those guys" factor is huge.

Guns up indeed.
I know that this was meant to be about UT's loss - but you can fairly apply that to OU's loss in Red River. Probably any take on the outcome of that question, posed with a pro-OU vector, would depend on whether or not one believes (as I do) that OU was jobbed by the officials on three critical calls on two crucial scoring drives for UT.

Had any one of those calls gone differently OU likely comes out on top in my opinion. If any two go OU's way, OU likely squeaks out a win, and if all three go OU's way you are looking at a reversal of the scoreline.

Because I look at that Red River result as open to doubt, and because Oklahoma has played at a routinely higher level before and since that game than UT, I'd place them over UT in any poll. In fact I did, again, this week.

As evidenced by OSU being the top-ranked 2-loss squad.

Back to the Bearcats. Is Cincy really a big victory? I mean, come on... let's not go accusing the Big East of being a conference worth winnning.

FYI, the Big East has a better record in OOC matchups against BCS conference teams than the Big Ten, Pac Ten, Big XII, or SEC.

So where do things stand for Florida and Texas?

The Coaches numbers are real, and the computers and Harris numbers are my guesses, but they are conservative from Florida's standpoint. Looks like Florida is in to me.

Rk..Team.....Harris.....Coaches...Computers..Total (this is the BCS score - the average of the first 3 numbers)
1..Oklahoma.1..0.9600..1..0.9718..1.000..1..0.9773
2..Florida..2..0.9750..2..0.9711..0.890..4..0.9454
3..Texas....3..0.9450..3..0.9233..0.940..1..0.9361

Can you please list those for us LV?
I may have missed a game or 12, as I just went through schedules and picked out BCS OOC opponents, but this is what I got:

Big East: 7-7(9-7 if you count Notre Dame)
Big Ten: 5-5(6-7 w/ND)
Pac-10: 4-6(5-8 w/ND)
Big 12: 7-8
SEC: 6-7

I know Sagrin's computer is out, and Texas is 2nd and Florida is 4th. I don't know what the computers are going to do, but Florida SHOULD get enough to keep them ahead of Texas...but I think it will be sort of close, since Texas will likely be a little closer to Florida in the Harris than they are in the Coaches, but you never know. Florida will be in, but I think it will be just about as this prediciton.
