Well for one, if we are to extend the logic that OU supporters used to propel the Sooners into the title game over UT, the same logic would also send Alabama to the title game over Florida.
Why? Because if we throw out the result of the head-to-head matchup on a neutral field like many did with the OU-UT matchup, Alabama and Florida have the same record (just like OU and UT), and the Tide beat a team that also beat the Gators (just like OU defeated a team that handed UT's only loss).
If you favor OU in the title game, then by logical extension you must also favor Alabama in the title game as well. And by doing so you are sending two undeserving teams into the title over the deserving teams. Just trying to show why the BCS and OU's selection is a joke.
