2008-09 NBA Off-season moves

I could really get down with a line-up of:

West
Redd
James
Wallace
Z

Boobie, Joe Smith, Damon Jones, and a rookie big off the bench.

It's a pipe dream, but I think that would put us right there with the top line-ups in the league.
I think Redd's about 1 season away from being Ray Allen.

Ray in undoubtedly struggling, but he'd have put numbers up this year if he stayed in Seatle. A 3 headed monster can be crowded. Ray didn't have the freedom to play his normal style....just like High School kids who are the man on their respective teams, but get to college, and all of sudden shots they'd normally take are considered selfish or just poor shots.

Had Ray come to Cleveland I think his productivity would have been much higher than it's been in Boston, where he'd have a well defined role as the #2 scorer.

I think Redd would be very productive for several seasons as well. His mid-range game is crafty as hell too. He's not just a set shooter.

I agree with what you were saying plus Stephen A. likes to talk just to hear himself but saying that in your last paragraph isn't that what Boston sort of did this year.

Let's remember that the Nets tried this in the recent past with Kidd, Carter, and Jefferson. Just because Boston pulled it off doesn't mean that it will work for everyone.

Maggette is expected to opt out of his contract...

also talk about Eric Snow becoming the Bulls next head coach which would mean that he would have to opt out of his 7 million dollar contract with the Cavs...Larry Brown wants him on his staff as well...LINK

also the Bucks are working the phone looking for trade partners for Redd...

Did you take any pills before you went to bed last night? That sounds like an awesome dream. :p

The Bulls can't have Snow... well, unless they sign Duhon and trade him for Eric Snow :wink2:

And it really seems Milwaukee is regretting signing Redd. Every mock I have seen have them picking Gordon and a mention of them wanting to trade Redd. I think a Wally for Redd trade would be great

Where would we be now if they had known that 3 years ago? Redd was the Cavs first choice when they signed Hughes. It would be great if they wouldn't mind cutting him loose for Wally and next years first round pick.

Good points OH10....... But who has been consistent outside of LeBron over the last 3 years?
.

Uh, how about Z.

14.1 pts 9.3 reb 47%fg 80%ft
11.9 pts 7.7 reb 49%fg 80%ft
15.6 pts 7.6 reb 50%fg 83%ft

Like him or not, he's been very consistent.

Fair enough....I was thinking more along the lines of a guard. I like Z, and he brings a very nice dimension to the offense, but he's also very limited. Next year his minutes will be scaled back even more to keep him fresh for the playoffs.
