I'll spare you any rant I would normally go on about my intense hatred of tom brady and how completely overrated he is.

Lemme guess... "His defense was just so incredible, Vinatieri was the MVP, Belichick is the greatest thing since sliced bread". Am I close?

Brady's won with a bunch of nobodies to throw to and got 2 SB MVP. Manning got one as a "Lifetime Achievement Award" because if it was any other QB, Addai or Rhodes would have been the MVP.

To add to who will get drafted earlier, Brennan might slip a bit because of the circumstances that caused him to leave Colorado. And with how much emphasis the NFL is putting on character now, anything bad could drop your draft status.

We were discussing a basic pro style offense, not just the WCO

He specifically said WCO. So, which is it? West Coast Offense? Pro-style West Coast Offense? College-style West Coast Offense? Michigan West Coast Offense? West of the Mississippi Coast Offense? Whatever.

Bottom line is that regardless of the man-crush you Michigan fans have on Henne, the fact is Brennan is the better passer and pro prospect and even CFN said so. Hawaii runs the quick, stretch the field offense that is the very definition of the West Coast Offense. Michigan runs the "we'll throw it downfield when Mike Hart is on the bench" offense...

Every body in the world knows that brady wins because of the program Bill has in place. It is not that Brady is that talented.

Please explain where I said anything that great about Henne. I must have missed the WCO part, my bad. You cannot actually believe that Brennan's offense makes him more pro-ready for the pros. Hawaii runs a run and shoot, how many teams do that?

I'm not a Mihigan fan at all, I just know Henne is a better NFL prospect....again, just wait and see

And anybody who knows anything about football will tell you Michigan runs a pro-style offense and Hawaii does not

So Henne's the better quarterback prospect because he gets to hand the ball off more often...yeah, that makes sense.

This is absolutely spot-on. Brennan will fall lower than he should and, unless Henne stinks up the joint next season or in the Pro Days he will likely get picked ahead him.

Miraculously, the "program" got better when Brady was the QB.
BB's career record Pre-Brady: 42-58
BB's career record with Brady: 82-26

No. Hawaii's offense is a gimmick offense. Please do tell me, how many teams go 4 and 5 wide over half the time? I'm curious.

A gimmick offense that very few teams can stop. "Gimmick" or not, Brennan can quickly pick out an open receiver and hit him more accurately than anyone in college football. The last time I checked, being able to hit your receivers was a more important attribute than being able to hand the ball off.

so brady is better than bledsoe.

it's a system. you don't win SBs with 100th round picks at QB and your admitted nobodies on offense. spare me the "Manning won the MVP but somebody else deserved it" speach. Brady is the posterboy for that.

Just so I understand the the topic of this thread..it is TSUN News/ recruiting Right?

I keep hoping that when I see there has been new posts.. it is related to Mike Hart making increasingly stupid comments to the press, or Arrington getting pinched for firing up a blunt or something, or Maybe Mallet deciding to go back to Texas because he hates the smell in Ann Arbor or something.

But all I read is post after post, of these Michigan posters, holding court over here.

I enjoy there insiders info about news that has happened etc. but this is ridiculous

Not b/c he gets to hand the ball off more often, but b/c he has experience in a legitamate pro-style offense......you seem to think more throws equates to pro-style offense as in Hawaii's case

Scouts and GM's don't care that Brennan throws the ball 50 times a game in 4-5 wideout sets b/c that doesn't work in the NFL.....you need a balanced offense, where you line up under the center and can get a ground game going and use the run to set up the pass (hence the term pro-style offense)....if GM's loved guys who wing it around all day and put up ridiculous #'s in college offenses then Kliff Kingsbury would have been a first rounder....but fortunately for teams w/ good GM's, they see through the gawdy #'s and statistics and realize they played in a gimmick offense that capitalized on bad defenses in poor conferences and know it doesn't translate into NFL success- college awards yes, NFL success no

And Chad Henne could play for Hawaii and put up the same #'s b/c he does have a stronger arm and quicker release.....I think Brennan puts great touch on the ball, better than Henne, but overall Henne will be taken beofre Brennan....no doubt about it

It's amusing how you OSU fans refuse to admit a Michigan player could actually be a 6th rounder and do what Brady has done.

Brady SB Stats

Rams SB Game: 16/27, 145 yards 1 TD, 0 INT (Led GW Drive)
Panthers SB Game: 32/48,354 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT (Led GW Drive)
Eagles SB Game: 23/30, 236 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT

Manning SB Stats

Bears SB Game: 25/38, 247 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT

I'll pull up the all-time playoff stats between the two if that's what you want. Hint: It gets worse for Manning

But OH MY GOD! Brady went to Michigan so we have to live in denial about how good he is! No one from Michigan could ever be that good! Brady almost made the SB last year WITH JABAR GAFFNEY AND RECHE CALDWELL AS RECEIVERS! That's absurd.
