Are you guys planning to give Graham and Jamison some rest???? You guys cannot think that those guys are gonna play every down...right. What player of any experience is behind them?

Do you have 18 scholarship OL or is that including walk-ons. Most teams have around 15 scholarship OL...
They have Barwis, of course they'll be alright.

HTM, does the recruitment of Cornelius Jones puzzle and/or concern you at all?
I had to go look that up and I'm still as much in the dark as before because there is no Cornelius....do you mean Cornell Jones, who I've still never heard of?

Four walk-ons, I think.

As far as the DL depth chart...there are quite a number of players behind the top four that have playing experience: Adam Patterson, 18 games; Greg Banks, 11 games; Jason Kates, 5 games (he's truck-sized so he gets some goal-line action); John Ferrara, 13 games; Marques Slocum, 8 games; Renaldo Sagesse, 6 games. Do these guys strike fear in your heart? Yeah, me neither. But they won't be strangers to action when called upon, at least.

There may be a bit of revisionist history going on here.

UM may have underachieved for their talent level, but in the past two years other than the two OSU losses they were 20-4 and in the last 6 years won less than 9 games only once. So it hasn't been all that bad. It hasn't been a country club and the OL coaches have not been complete buffoons. It will not be an easy standard to match and the suggestion that Lloyd held back a juggernaut that was just waiting for the roadblocks to be removed doesn't wash.

Any suggestions that they will be better with fewer talented athletes because the coaching is so far superior is wishful thinking IMO.

This is pointed towards UM kool-aid drinkers in general - not HTM.

Yeah, but DickRod ran roughshod over the Big East* with less talented athletes!

maybe his mom held him out of football for not going to church. But on the surface it seems a lil iffy.

Are you suggesting RR would recruit kids of questionable character? Better not imply such a thing unless there is some history to back it up.

Rating concern - Operation Sports Forums

Featuring such tidbits as...

Oh and FYI, when Mike Barwis is your S&C coach, you dont decrease in speed, you increase your speed. Oh you also get stronger.

If they have Pryor as an 87 this year, Newsome should be at 90 speed in next years version.

In case you dont know who Kevin Newsome is, look him up on you tube. He should also have some videos on rivals and scout. 5 star guy. Both football and track. When you can take your team from last to 1st in a relay race all by your self, you've got lightning speed.

Future is looking up for my boys in blue. Look out for them this season, youll be surprised. Oh and when you see Feagin this year, tell me if you think an 85 speed is what he deserves. My opinion has already been stated.

*Thread is about speed ratings in NCAA 09*

One time I was with Barwis in the back of a pickup truck, along with a live deer.
Barwis goes up to the deer and says, 'I'm Mike Barwis! SAY IT!'
Then he manipulates the deer's lips in such a way as to make it say,
'Mikebarwis' ... It wasn't exactly like it, but it was pretty good for a deer!'
