From 1991 to 2000 46.86 percent of the incoming freshmen recruits left school at the end of their careers being either a starter or a contributor at his position. The rest of the incoming freshmen left school, obtained a medical waiver or continued to play ? but just never contributed on the field. Out of each 25-player class, Ohio State could count on getting 11.71 players that contributed on the field.
I?d like to assume the position that Jim Tressel?s method is more efficient and that ? based on the evidence ? he evaluates personnel abilities, within his system, at a greater degree than most other coaches. And definitely better than the internet-based "gurus".
