This series has been great. Any chance Dirk had of MVP went down the tubes with this series. It will be interesting if and win GS wins how they do against the other teams. Do they only match up well against the Mavs, or have they stepped up their play?

I'm pretty sure the MVP votes are already in, so it doesn't matter. Going 4-0 in the reg season against the Mavs shows that they obviously match up well, but I can't imagine that explains everything. BD seems to be playing awfully well, and everyone else on the team is just feeding off him.

Yeah my bad, it is done immediately after the regular season. I think Davis is playing really well, but I haven't been able to really watch the Warriors all year, so I can't gauge this performance against anything else really.

One thing I admire about the series is that Don Nelson is doing a terrific job of coaching, and is doing it in a very low key way. He's not yelling much at the refs, or constantly stalking on the sidelines.

He's just calmly calling out defensive coverages, putting the right guys on the floor, and letting them do their thing.

Does anyone else feel Avery Johnson is overrated as a coach? I mean, last year's run to the finals had more to do with Dallas being incredibly talented than it did with Johnson's coaching.

I think having Brown as our coach makes me realize that wins isn't the most important stat when it comes to coaching resumes. Johnson has been thoroughly outcoached this series. It isn't even close.

Dallas blowing that lead before the half was eerily similar to the Cavs blowing the lead in the first six minutes of the second half in game three.

Just some thoughts as I watch this fourth quarter unwind(with a calculus exam tomorrow morning to boot!).

I think he is a good coach, and pretty much agree with what fourteenandoh said.
And, I have a Physics exam tomorrow morning.

What's this "our coach" stuff? This isn't the Cavs thread. :wink2:

Dallas is in big trouble. Down 9 with less than 3:20 left.

Nowitzki with a pair of 3's and a block to get them back within 3, just under 2 minutes left.
