I seriously don't get how national analysts can come to some of the ridiculous conclusions that they have this postseason, such as the Heat will be good or that the Bulls, even though they lack anything resembling front court scoring and rely almost exclusively on jump shooting, will be a threat to Detroit. I mean, anyone who watched the NBA knew the Heat weren't that good and they knew the Bulls are weak on the interior. I just don't get it sometimes.

I think the TNT guys (Smith and Barkley) said there was no way Chicago matched up with Detroit.

Amare speaks out
Stoudemire accuses Bowen, Spurs of playing 'dirty'

PHOENIX (AP) -- Phoenix All-Star Amare Stoudemire says the San Antonio Spurs are a "dirty team" and that Bruce Bowen tried to hurt him, nasty accusations sure to intensify the playoff series between two of the best teams in the NBA.

"He kicked me purposely in the back of my Achilles'. I almost came down wrong and he almost caused an injury," Stoudemire said after Thursday's practice. "He's known for doing that. I just hope the NBA and the commissioner take a look at that because it's definitely a dirty play."

And that's one of the reasons why I prefer Inside the NBA over NBA Fastbreak.

If you looked at ESPN's pre-playoff predictions, they couldn't stop slobbering over the Heat, and many of them are STILL saying that Chicago is the second best team in the East.

It just flies in the face of logic.
