Yes, I've seen him play. I'm not that impressed with his scrambling ability...

I actually disagree with you. Jamarcus Russel is about 275-285 pounds, but he can move. he seems like a pocket passer, but when he has to, he can run and scramble, and with his rocket arm, he can get out of the pocket when being rushed and still deliver the ball on target 75 yards down the field. I am really impressed with his athleticism but his decision making is what worries me, but that can easily be corrected in the NFL with time and practice with a good coach. I look forward to watching Jamarcus on sundays and I think he will be better than Daunte in just 2-3 years.

AP CHICAGO (AP) -- Jeff Samardzija decided to give up football and stay with baseball.

The former Notre Dame receiver, projected as a first-round pick in the upcoming NFL draft, agreed Friday to a five-year, $10 million contract to pitch for the Chicago Cubs. Continued...

I think a team got a 2nd chance to not draft a bust in the 1st round...

I don't think Smarjidczl;kjas;lkdjfklfj;ljlajsdflhkajhkdsfjhalkjhdsfza was going to go in the first round.....maybe early 2nd, but that's only to the team that would draft Brady Quinn. That way he could've continued to bail out Brady on every floating and wobbly pass over the middle....

After all was said and done, I didn't think he was going in the 1st either. But Mel Kiper definitely did... and that's kind of what I'm poking fun at.
In that scenario, would he also continue to drop some of the easier passes?

Just playing the opposite side here, but Quinn didnt have a line this year and struggled b/c of it.

His junior year he had an awesome year, and played his best game of his career against USC. He never had a defense to lean on and probabaly really felt the pressure this year...

I think that he could have a solid pro career...I wouldnt draft him ahead of Russell and would try and get a guy like Smith or Stanton later in the draft, but Quinn could be the next Tom Brady/Peyton Manning or he could be the next Rick Mirer. Drafting QB's is the about the hardest thing to do...I think it would be best for Quinn to fall in the draft and not have as much pressure on him if he goes #1 or #2...

I think Quinn could be a solid pro QB, but I don't think he will ever be the next Manning or Brady. I'm thinking more like Garcia, Warner, maybe Brees. Quinn shows a lot of signs of being hot-and-cold and hasn't won a big game, but has shown some real upside against other mediocre teams. He also has some symptoms of being a system QB. (only got on the radar when Weiss showed up)
If I was a GM (which I deifnitely am not) I wouldn't touch Quinn with a 10' pole in the top-10 region. I think all 3 of last year's big-name QBs are better and I think Russell shows more potential than Quinn, too. But I'll be very surprised if they aren't both gone by the 10spot.

I think Samardjiza would have gone in the first round, and more than likely ahead of Gonzalez. I love him not going to the NFL for the sole reason of bumping up Gonzalez a spot, because he is a great WR who only needs a chance with an NFL team.

Jeff probably would have gone late in the first round, probably the next WR after Ginn, but i dont think it really affects Gonzo's draft stock that much, however Dwayne Bowe of LSU and Gonzo look to be going in relatively the same draft spot and i think that Bowe is Gonzo's biggest competition now...of course its hard to say before the combines and all that wonderful stuff....also lets not forget about the wonderlic
