2006 Spring Game info/discussion

this is a strange question... beyond? I'll try to answer what they allowed at the osu games... They usually let you take your camera in, with a lens attached (I just attached my 70-200 lens and walked in with it). They don't like big huge lenses, or camera bags. Also, they were not fond of a monopod/tripod being used either.

I think he meant are you allowed to bring in cameras(bigger one's) that are usually not allowed at regular games.

I'll take a guess and say no.

What is "allowed" vs. what is possible are probably two different things in this case.

I believe the rules are supposed to be the same as any other game so far as what is being brought into the stadium, but I know the last few Spring Games I attended had very limited personnel tending to these particular rule enforcements. There won't be the yellow-shirted security force (or at least not nearly as many). They don't have a full compliment of Ushers or ticket takers in place. So, though someone could say something or stop you from bringing certain equipment or other things in depending on how obviously "out of bounds" you might be, I know I've seen camera bags, back packs, small tri-pods, etc. in years past.

Now watch that I've said this, the University completely clamps down on the lax environment  . But as long as you're not setting up a home video studio or calling too much attention to yourself I've seen lots get in that would definitely be turned away come Sept.

Samer here. I live in Virginia and I would buy a dvd of the spring game. Then I would watch it over and over to fill the void that is left until Sept. If anyone gets a hold of one, let me know:biggrin:

Anyone know if the game is going to be broadcast online or by CSTV???
CSTV will be airing May 4 and than some re-broadcasts after that.

I don't have a clue on the online broadcast. I'm not in the Columbus area so I haven't heard anything on that. I know it was WBNS channel 10 that covered it last year but I don't see anything on the site about it.
