2006 Spring Game info/discussion

so can you get tickets at the main gate at the shoe or do i have to go over to the schott box office and purchase them there? never been to a spring game and this year im coming over with some friends and watching it. cant wait till this fall when i will have my house in cbus and watch all the games:biggrin: :oh: :io:

You can get them at the ticket office at the Shoe. When I went in 2004, the line wasn't that long. Took about 5 minutes to get them.

I've said it in a few threads this past football season, but I'll say it again here just because I hope as many of you can take advantage as possible:

In 2005 for every home game (except the Miami game because we had pre-sale tix) including the Texas game, a friend and a brother of mine got tickets the day of the game at the Schott.

We got there each morning about 7:30 or 8:00 a.m. and got in a line at a window outside of the Will Call tickets (which are indoors) windows. Even when games were supposedly "sold out" tickets became available and sold at face value. A guy we were in line with said he gets Michigan tickets at that window each "Home" year.

The reason is, any tickets not sold by 8:00 a.m. Game Day morning (by ticket brokers, Almni Clubs, etc.) have to be turned back in to the Athletic Dept. So usually even seamingly impossible tickets to get become available (in limited quantities) morning of each home game.

I have no reason to believe this won't be the case this coming season...so with that new house in C-Bus, or anyone who wants to drive over early and take a chance to watch the greatest football team in the greatest stadium in the country  when you previously thought you had to be a season ticket holder or willing to pay a scalper big $$, I hope this helps. :osu:

You won't need to for the Spring Game, there'll be plenty of seats for that one, but keep it in mind come Sept.

Did you say that this window is outside the Schot? Do you know what area/entrance it is close to?
Appreciate your time, just sick of paying $1000 for season tix for the last 3 years...hurts the old pocket book a little more than I like, however regardless I always have to support my addiction.

I believe it's the South East corner of the Schott...along Lane Ave. At that corner is the entrance to the Will Call windows. On the outside of the Will Call entrance is a small window where game day tickets are sold.

For one game (i forget which one, but it was late in the season) they used one of the indoor "will call / student ticket" windows for game day ticket sales, but all the rest were sold from this outside window.

I'll post the info in the Ticket forum too. Good luck. :osu:

Anyone know if cameras/photography is allowed at the spring game beyond what is permitted at a regular season game?
this is a strange question... beyond? I'll try to answer what they allowed at the osu games... They usually let you take your camera in, with a lens attached (I just attached my 70-200 lens and walked in with it). They don't like big huge lenses, or camera bags. Also, they were not fond of a monopod/tripod being used either.
