Oklahoma?

Unreal.

I would bet nearly anything that their reasoning will include the words "A healthy Adrian Peterson"

Peterson is an awesome back... No question.... But, last I checked, the man doesn't play QB, Oline, WR, or any Defensive position.

That said, I would expect Oklahoma to be better this year than last, since they have some expierence now (last year they were very young, IIRC)

Athlon is releasing it's top 25 day by day. So far they have this:

25. Nebraska
24. Arizona State
23. Utah
22. Texas Tech
21. Virginia Tech
20. Tennessee
19. Oregon
18. TCU
17. Florida State
16. Iowa
15. Georgia
14. Miami
13. Michigan
12. Clemson
11. LSU
10. Louisville
9. Auburn
8. Cal
7. Texas

But since the internet public is an impatient group, somebody figured out that if you change the date on your computer to the 24th, the entire top 25 will be revealed...

25. Nebraska
24. Arizona State
23. Utah
22. Texas Tech
21. Virginia Tech
20. Tennessee
19. Oregon
18. TCU
17. Florida State
16. Iowa
15. Georgia
14. Miami
13. Michigan
12. Clemson
11. LSU
10. Louisville
9. Auburn
8. Cal
7. Texas
6. West Virginia
5. Florida
4. Ohio State
3. USC
2. Notre Dame
1. Oklahoma

Yeah right. Bomar at QB for the Sooners won't get them anywhere. The fact that Notre Ame has no D will not amount to anything, either. USC's lost talent will hurt them, too. These rankings are pretty pathetic.

Sorry, but I don't see a Big Least Louisville team being in the top 10. I also have my doubts about WVU being that high. But the biggest joke is an 8-4 Oklahoma at #1, even with Peterson.

Id rather be in the 3-4 spot, than 1-2. Puts a lot of pressure on the team to maintain that #1 or #2 spot.

Oklahoma, i dont see getting anything done. I havent done my scouting on them, but i also havent heard of any big moves. They where ranked ninth according to scout.com in recruiting this year.

If WV has all their talent back from last year, they could be a surprise team. Only team they lost too last year was Virginia Tech. But, they do play in the Little East, so really there isnt any competition.

Notre Dame with nearly all of their offense back could be a great team. Questionable defense, we'll just have to wait and see how Weis (SP?) does in his 2nd year.

Athlon knows about as much about college football as my cat does. Phil Steele is just about the only magazine I repect. He actually goes in depth.

My WTF's:

Oklahoma at #1
USC at #3
Cal at #8
Louisville at #10
TCU at #18
Texas Tech at #22
Utah at #23

Oregon should be top 15.
