Game Thread (2004) Game Seven: Indiana - 10/23/04 (W, 4-3/1-3)

He's not being hard on Mo Hall and its got nothing to do with knee surgeries.

He's pointing out the fact that only vs IU can our backs run into the pile, break tackles and bounce it outside for a big gain. He's 100% correct. Only IU has that large of a talent disparity to allow that to happen, its the same every year.

Remember this headline?
Buckeyes Beat Hoosiers, 27-14

Lydell Ross runs for 124 yards and two touchdowns as football racks up eighth straight win against Indiana.

Sept 29, 2001

Anyone who wants to get their hopes up just to have them crushed again can go ahead, but untill I see this type performance against a good defense I'll remain highly skeptical of the 2004 OSU team, they just aren't that good.

I think an element that people are not looking at is the fact that Troy Smith and Tony Pittman started for the first time along with some other players. I think that was an impressive performance for Troy and Tony. Pittman had 2 long runs called back because of stupid penalties. If not for that he would have flirted with 200 yards.

This years Indiana team is better than last years. They are alot better on defense than last year. I'm not saying we are now all-world but we have made so great strides in the right direction. IMO we have new starters at QB and RB.

Question for anyone who was at the game yesterday.

What was the deal with the hellicopter flying around the stadium the whole game. I've been to a lot of games and have never seen that before. That damn thing made me restless.

It was flying around at either the Cinci or Marshall game as well. I was told some old couple had blown through a security area and put a scare into the security personel. Don't know if that was true or not.

Now that I think about it, it must have been the Marshall game, that was the 9/11 game I think.

You are correct. I'm the one who knew the story, I work there. That helicopter yesterday is a Highway Patrol helicopter aiding in homeland security.
