Game Thread (2004) Game Nine: @ Michigan State - 11/06/04 (W, 6-3/3-3)

I will always be a Buckeye fan and I would continue to support the team if they lost the rest of their games this year and didn't win a game next year. It really hurts me to say this but I will anyway...I officially don't enjoy watching the Buckeyes.

This is very painful to watch. You get a glimpse of the potential we have and then we run bullshit fucking plays on offense. Put more than 2 or 3 WR on the damn field. I like how we run a reverse and score then we get conservative. I just don't understand.

is anyone else sick of seeing ginn have to single handedly try to carry this piss-poor offense.....he's a great player but he can't do it all. The defense has been on the field so long ou there because we can't sustain a drive. Our RB's are verrry dissapointing.

Hey....someone just found Tressel's offensive cheat sheet:

Options with a Lead:

1st Down and_________Distance is irrelevant.
............run out of two tight ends between the tackles.

2nd Down and_________Distance is irrelevant.
............run out of three or four wide between the tackles.

3rd Down and Less than 5.
.............run out of two tight ends between the tackles.

3rd Down and 5 or more.
............shotgun, four wide throw. If option one is not immediately open, qb pulls it down to run.

thats it...the whole playbook...

This is hilarious. I agree, but I do enjoy watching Ginn.

I think if Santonio would have caught that bomb when it was 14-0, or if Smith would have hit Ginn over the deep middle on the 3rd down play with about 4 minutes to go, we'd be satisfied right now.

We do have a halftime lead on the road against a decent team, after all.

Ginn is only carrying this team because he's the only one making the plays. Holmes has had a shot. Ross shouldn't be allowed to have any more shots.

This isn't meant to be negative. Swear to God.

Anyway, when is the last time that the offense put together a drive that ended in a touchdown?

Like, a touch back, they take over at the 20, then drive for a score?

I honestly can't remember.

At the half MSU has run 44 plays, OSU 30.

14 yards passing for Smith - he's lighting it up again.

And he's had a chance to make two big plays. No way he should miss a wide open Santonio and Ginn was wide open on a post.

Plus he's took off running on 4 other pass plays...throw the damn ball to your playmakers!

Ginn is the man guys.......

T. Smith needs some more chances other than 3rd down..... Holmes dropped a huge TD pass.... Smith is struggling a little right now. He's doing very well with the short stuff but when we get into 3rd and long Its just not gett'n done. For sure 3rd down and 13 is never good to have anyways. Also our defense is doing fairly well against the run, but man we're suck'n against the pass. We still lead and we get the ball after Half time so I'm still ok with what has happened thus far.

Come on Smith... Also Ross is still look'n awesome ain't he?

holmes had no shot....that pass was horrilbe....he had half the field wide open and it was thrown back against his momentum and over the the wrong shoulder...

it was a pretty spiral though.....i guess he does throw a nice deep ball....if how pretty it floats is all you give a damn about...
