Your point seems to be that if Wiscy can limit OSU's offense for the first half, then Clemson might also. But I think Wiscy's run defense is probably significantly better than Clemson's (correct me if wrong). As someone said earlier, we might need Dobbins to grind out long drives and play keep away from Clemson's offense for the first half.

Virginia's first 2 or three drives were essentially TD drives, but I think the first one ended in an end zone interception.

I mean, partially; additionally, they’re going to mitigate boundary running to the extent to which Penn State was able — perhaps even greater.

I’d venture to say their defensive line is going to create serious issues for our outside/tackles and we have exhibited delayed reactions to stunts and cross blitzes; it’s demonstrable.

Those sacks are drive- killers and this season would tell us we are a lock to surrender 5-8 of them. But yes, eyeroll

Up tempo quick snaps and zone blocking(less pulling) to beat speed shifting slanting and blitzing.

Personally, I think Venables is more important than the Clemson OC. Chad had the same kind of success previously, but Venables has been there since leaving Stoops.

With less than 90 seconds left in the game, North Carolina just scored the potential, game-tying touchdown. Mack Brown left his offense on the field. It was option right, and the Tigers stuffed it to secure a 21-20 win on Saturday night.

That team went 6-6 for the season. The ACC is hot garbage. Whisky has a much more physical team this year. Fact.

Trevor tossed 5 picks in 3 games. He has 8 on the season. Against extremely bad opponents. I mean, historically bad. The team they faced in the conference championship barely cracked the top 25... and that was being generous to VA. There’s a reason they’re number 3 despite going undefeated in that conference.

Maybe ease back a bit on proclaiming them the best team Ohio State has faced in two years. That’s horse shit.

I was at (and remember) that game too, it went 3 OTs. Phillip Rivers was the NC State QB. It's probably safe to say he's the only player from that game that is still playing football. We frittered away a 24-7 lead with 11:25 to play. I remember thinking, with the 17 point lead the only we'll lose this game is if we give it away and we almost did. In addition to Holmes' fumbled punt return, Krenzel was also intercepted.

Worried about this one myself. The Clemson O is a freaking machine. Venables is an assassin. Dec 28th will be the defacto Championship in my humble opinion. I think OSU or Clemson would rape LSU, and don't even get me started what those two would do to Okiedokie.

We will see how good our staff is. Man for man, I do not see an advantage for the good guys. Not much of a talent issue, we just do not have them out-manned like we do 99% of the time we take the field.

I’m sure you know this but teams evolve; this isn’t week 5 anymore. I can’t keep reciting that game as a means of establishing confidence in myself.

If it isn’t the best team they’ve faced in two years, I’d love to hear an argument for otherwise. 2017 OU? Lol. 2017 Iowa? Lol. 2018 Washington? 2018 UM? 2018 PSU?

Like, I literally just don’t care about the North Carolina game anymore; if it works as a preparation component, great. But something tells me Clemson doesn’t really have those tendencies as much if at all.

I happen to think this Clemson team, this season, would be 9-3 AT BEST in the Big Ten. This isn’t the 2014 Buckeyes and they aren’t the Watson and Watkins team from the 2016 game. Seasons change, you know this, right?

If they want respect so badly, let them earn it against a team that has shredded their way through one of the toughest gauntlets of all time this season, because I firmly believe they would have been planted if they had to run the same table.
