I know you’re being sarcastic, but I love how running isnt a football move.
Especially while being engaged with a defender pushing him backwards. Catch 3 steps any direction. But cant rely on slow motion to show accuracy in a play. Lol. The fuck? That replay will forever piss me off. That said, this team and coaching staff exceeded all expectations for this season. Difference in this game outside of dropped TDs turned fieldgoals and some bad calls is Field's knee was clearly more of an effect on his game than expected. Wasn't as mobile and couldn't step into throws. His ass still a damn warrior and almost got it done

Waking up this morning, yeah the hurt is starting to set in now. What also hurts is Day completely coached circles around Dabo. Day's worst call was probably the fake punt, but that's the ultimate hindsight call. It's huge and, possibly, permanent momentum shift if it works and Olave was super close to blocking it. Maaayyybe would've liked to see Dobbins get a few more carries but it felt like Clemson was keying in on him once they adjusted and I assume Day didn't want to run into a brick wall all day.

Really solidified my faith in Day though. Probably some of the best big game coaching I can remember from a Buckeye team.

I have no excuses for this one. The first 10 minutes of the game showed we were the better team, but time and time again shot ourselves in the foot. Fuck the "bad calls" by the refs. Clemson won the game because they wanted to win. Ohio State lost because they expected to win.

Clem's Son won the game because the fumble that was returned for a touchdown was inexplicably overturned.

Clemson won the game because in the first half we went to the red zone 3 times and settled for field goals instead of TDs... its a simple fact. The play calling inside the 20 was horrific

Agreed about the red zone play calling (although Day had a couple that should've went for TDs) but I wouldn't have felt safe whatsoever even with a 28-0 lead with the way the refs were calling the game. Who's to say they don't get Chase, Okudah, or Arnette for targeting or some other momentum shifting play?

The defense of the stupid targeting rule is sickening. It’s pretty clear most of the time when it’s malicious intent but it’s fucking football and helmet to helmet happens. But the rule is designed to always penalize the defensive player even when it’s a incidental bang bang play.
