I think our biggest weakness has been depth in secondary.

When a starter comes off the field, the communication in the backend has led to EASY big plays and touchdowns. The guys confused their assignments. The flip side however, is if we are healthy, and guys aren’t coming out of game for long stretches, I think we have one of the best secondaries in the last 5-6 years of CFB.

Okudah is likely 1st CB off board. Shaun Wade is a top 15 pick. Damon Arnette is a late first rounder maybe early 2nd. And Jordan Fuller is in the 3rd rd range but the glue of the secondary and likely to win the equivalent to the Heisman for Academic success and on field performance.

The problem is, when one of them comes off field, we seemingly have huge breakdowns. Guys get confused on assignments and it turns into finger pointing.

Not necessarily true for the team in general, but I think our biggest advantage going into game is our run blocking. I think Dobbins can have a huge day. Clemson is a little thin in depth in the front 4, and undersized on the edge. Our interior O-line is one of best in country, behind Wyatt Davis who was named by Pro Football Focus as best RG in College football. But then you’ve Jonah Jackson and Josh Meyers as well. We are stout up the middle. If OSU wins, it’s because they are pushing the LOS downfield.

It’s a good point about Veneables and his penchant for blitzing. He’s great at run blitzes too. But I like this offensive line to establish run game and work play action off it.

Where has Clemson killed us the first two times? Up front.

They don't have the DL or the OL they have had the past few seasons.

So as long as we don't do something stupid like abandon the run or not adjust on defense we will finally beat these guys.

I doubt we crush them like I'd said all year but I'm confident we will win.

We have the secondary to slow their skill down and we have the DL to rush Blonde. Wear them down and take their soul.

See...I truly believe we are taking Dabo behind the woodshed on the 28th. Bucks by 20.

It's just certain words that somehow keep getting misused.
I'm glad you pointed out the "dominate/dominant" thing. I've seen them used incorrectly several times here in the past few weeks, and with each successive incorrect usage it's like nails on a chalkboard that get progressively louder and louder.

Maybe my wife's OCD is rubbing off on me.

This is my expectation as well. I think that is the counter punch to the blitzing Day should expect. Will be interesting to see if Clem gets creative with the blitz packages.

What would yall say your biggest weakness this season has been? Also what area do yall think you'll be able to dominate in the game? Cant wait. Anyone going to Arizona let me know, we can have a hell of a tailgate.
Biggest weakness: Fields holding the ball too long for offense and on defense our MLB starter is going to have a very hard time against you all. Us fans think our backup MLB should be starting because he's very athletic. In fact he reminds me of your stud LB as he's also 6'4 and goes about 250 and is very fast. If Borland plays majority of the game you guys can exploit that matchup all night.

What I think we can take advantage of? I think our team upfront is deeper and better. Our interior OL is very physical and our DL is very disruptive.

Welcome to BP!

Wait, has it been so deemed that dominate and dominant don’t share a common denominator? I am deflated.
